Chapter 9 - Getting through

"So, Ms. Park, would you like to accompany me on a stroll to the picnic destination."

"Well of course Mr. Porter, I would love to, shall I take your hand." Willow said, following Gus' speaking manner. I decided to leave them so they can enjoy their time together. I waved them goodbye and went to the building.

I instantly headed to Malphas' office since he will probably know a thing or two about this 'Titan's blood'. I got to the office and knocked on the door but no one answered. Hopefully, he is somewhere in the library but knowing my luck he is not here. I sauntered to the counter looking for other staff members. I find one of the librarians rearranging books in the fiction section.

"Hello, excuse me, I'm looking for books about rare potion ingredients, do you maybe know where I can find those?"

"Potion ingredients? The west wing, cooking and brewing section."

"Thank you very much, kind sir." I turn around and notice the tables with the crystal balls. Of course, why didn't I think of it earlier? I can search directly for Titan's blood without having to go through all the books. I spot one empty seat so I rush there before someone else takes it. I type in what I'm looking for and get only one result, woah, what a time save.

Perfect, how am I supposed to get this book now, it's hard to break into the restricted section without magic and I don't want to bother Eda. I punch angrily punch the table, and now everyone is staring at me. I rapidly jump out of my seat and leap to the nearest aisle to escape the embarrassment.

I'm ready to give up and go back to Eda empty-handed but as I'm about to go toward the exit I'm stopped by two witches.

"Need some help human? We couldn't bother but notice what are you looking for, we can help." I look at the girl speaking to me, she is older than me and has deep-green hair.

"And who are you?" I ask.

"My apologies, I'm Emira and this is my brother Edric, you can call us concerned citizens and experienced troublemakers."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Luz, and why exactly do you want to help me?"

"Well, as my sister said we love to have some fun from time to time, and where better than in the restricted section of the library."

I was reluctant to accept the help of two random people, especially in potentially illegal activities but as for now, it was my best shot. Though it felt too much as deus ex machina...

"So what do you need me to do, I suppose you have some kind of a plan for how to get there."

"Nothing in particular, we would just love some company, and hanging out with a human sounds like a great idea."

"Just hang out you say..." I look at them with disbelief and they just innocently smile. I have to give them benefit of a doubt. I would love to know their true intentions but I don't think they can prepare any sort of a trap in the library. "Fine, let's go, I want to be home before the sun sets."

"Perfect." Emira said drawing a spell circle and creating some sort of illusion around us, probably for camouflage reasons. We were slowly sneaking toward the restricted section and its magic lock."

"So... Luz, what is this Titan blood you are looking for, what do you need it to." Edric asked

"Well if I knew, I wouldn't be looking for information about it, besides, no offense but I'm not into confessing to strangers."

We get to the door and Edric starts working on the lock with magic, after a minute the door opens and we are inside. I tried to split up but they don't let me go that easily.
