"Actually, let me go get her" You smirked, teleporting away, grabbing Wanda then going back to Nat.
Wanda was shocked as she stared at you and Nat. "Ready to go shopping?" Nat asked, taking Wanda's hand in her own
"Ooo, shopping? For what?" Wanda asked, sliding shoes on and walking to her car. Nat got in the drivers seat and Wanda in the passenger while you sat in the back seat
"For my room, Nat says I need to customize it more" You said, bobbing your head to the music playing
Wanda nodded, talking with Nat the whole ride to the mall while you stared out the window. As the ride eventually got silent, you decided to speak up, "do either of you think I'll ever get adopted..?"
"Of course you will, sweetie! We just need to wait for the right people..." Wanda spoke tenderly
"Yeah, I promise, you'll find parents that'll adopt you soon" Nat agreed
"But not many people want a teenager... especially one with trauma and shit" You laughed, fixing your messy hair with your fingers
Nat parked the car, helping Wanda out and letting yourself out, following close behind them as they walked to the front of the mall.
"There will be a lot of people and noises in here, just tell us if you want to leave at any point" Wanda whispered to you, grabbing your hand and squeezing it
As you started to nod, a giant limo came to a stop right in front of the three of you. They both immediately pushed you behind them, getting into a defensive position
You watched warily as the window slowly rolled down to reveal Tony with some sunglasses on while smirking, "didn't think you could leave without us, did you?"
You rolled your eyes, watching as Tony go our of the limo, followed by Thor, Steve, Bruce, Bucky, Clint and...Megan
"Y/N!" Megan yelled, tripping out of the limo and hugging you with all her strength
"Hey! U-Uhm what're you doing here!?" You asked her, shocked that she was here. You bent down to be on your knees, eye level with her and pushing her hair behind her ears
"She begged to come." Clint chuckled from behind you
"Lila is so nice! I need to tell you all about Papa's house and the farm!" Megan went on, yapping on and on as you just kept thinking how she called Clint 'papa'
"Hey, why don't we go shopping now?" You offered even though you cut her off. She nodded and went to walk beside Thor, holding his much bigger hands.
"Y/n, we decided to tell you first, but Laura and I want to adopt Megan. She is already fitting in so well with my kids and her new school" Clint explained
You breath got caught in your throat as you kept walking, staring at Megan in shock while walking through the mall halls.
It wasn't fair...i can't find family or anyone and she gets it given to her!
"Are you okay?" Nat asked your as she walked to the other side of you, holding your shoulder firmly, "y-yeah...go ahead and adopt her, she deserves it" You stuttered
Megan deserved to be happy...get her happy ending with a family and finally have a normal life. But you is couldn't find a way to get it too...
"Why don't we go look at some books?" Wanda offered, seeing right through you and getting you to look at something else
"I'll come too" Steve said before Wanda sent him a glare, making him back away and continue to walk with everyone else
Wanda pulled you into a secluded area full of books and magazines. Wanda bent down onto her knees while she sat you down in a stool.
"Y/n...you're so strong and I know you can handle this. I know this lifestyle is hard for you, but you're such a talented young lady" Wanda cooed, cupping your face softly
Without warning you started to break down, your tears streaming down your face, "F-fuck! That's the first time anybody has told me something like that"
Wanda smiled as she pulled you in for a hug, wiping your tears off your cheeks and carefully holding you.
Your tears slowly came to a stop as you sniffles a few times and finally picked up a little book called 'Green Eggs and Ham'.
"That one's a classic" Wanda laughed, taking it from your hands and opening it
"Can we buy some books" you asked quietly, ashamed you hadn't had the same childhood as everyone
"Of course we can, sweetie" Wanda said, picking up a few classic books and a few other longer chaptered books
She held your hand while leading your way to the cash register, Wanda doing all the talking.
You smiled as you watched her put all the books into a bag then with her free hand hold your hand, holding you close.
"Let's go find everyone one then maybe we can go get ice cream!" Wanda laughed, running past people with you right beside her
