She didn't have to look at Hunter to know his eyes were on her. "'M fine. Just a broken nose." She repeated words she had said moments before.

"Just a broken nose." Echo echoed, shaking his head and crossing his arm over his scomp.

Malaina removed the chip and let out a sigh in relief, instructing the tool to begin stitching Wrecker up. "Finished." She concluded, taking a step away from the console.

She brought both hands up to her nose, pressing the side of her thumbs against the crooked feature and snapping it back in place. The only evidence that she was in pain was the short dry cry she let out after correcting her nose.

Hunter cringed and Rex visibly turned green.

More blood dripped out of her nose and Tech quickly grabbed a wad of gauze and folded it into a rectangle, holding it against her nose for her.

The surgical table slid out of the pod, Wrecker's arm falling loosely off of the side. He was still unconscious, but the hard part was done.

"I'm okay." Malaina said a little more softly, making eye contact with Tech. She knew she looked hideous, eyes probably starting to bruise. Her nose and under eyes were already swollen. Malaina replaced Tech's hand with her own, holding the gauze against her nostrils until the bleeding stopped.

"Wrecker." Omega said gently, giving him a little shake to see if he'd wake up. When he didn't respond, she shook him a little harder. "Wrecker." Her hand stilled on his armored chest. "He should be awake by now."

"It's the stun. It'll be a little longer before he wakes up." Malaina explained, trying to not let Omega worry too much. "His vitals need to stabilize."

"Why don't you take Omega topside and get some air?" Rex said to Hunter, but was immediately shut down by the kid.

"No! I'm staying until he wakes up." Omega argued stubbornly, resting her hand over Wrecker's.

Malaina stepped away from the group, going to sit against the wall of the medical room. She pulled a knee up to her chest, resting her elbow on top while placing her forehead in her hand. Malaina's head was pounding with a major headache due to all of the added up information from today and now her broken nose.

Hunter crouched down in front of her, a cooling pack in his hand. "Thank you for protecting Omega," He glanced over his shoulder at his brothers before turning back to her. "And for protecting us." He grinned, handing the cold pack over to her.

Malaina sat the bloodied gauze off to the side, resting the pack over her nose and immediately beginning to feel relief. She nodded softly. "You guys were all out at once." She chuckled.

Hunter shook his head, a soft smile on his face. "Not our proudest moment."

She shrugged. "Yeah, well the activation happened in a split second." Malaina responded. "It was a tough situation. It's hard to stop someone who has it out to kill you."

Hunter nodded, letting out a sigh while resting a hand on her shoulder. As he stood up, both of his knees popped.

Which made Malaina chuckle. "Watch those knees, old man." She teased, grinning up at the Sergeant.

Hunter playfully rolled his eyes. "Three years of combat'll do that to you." He replied, glancing down at his knees that had undergone so much damage from battling clankers.

"Sure does. Sometimes it's hard to even get out of bed." Malaina agreed, realizing she suffers the same. "Luckily I only notice my tinnitus when it's really quiet. But my knees and back? Whole other story." That made Hunter laugh.
