When Hiccup told me something like 'Toothless is too early', I ignored him and left the tent. I saw moving bushes and when I looked beside me Y/N was standing bent over.
Y/N was here!!!! I was so excited and flapped my wings happily.
Her e/c eyes darted around and she let out an anxious grunt for me to be quiet. I stopped instantly and swallowed.
I wanted to apologize, but without waiting for me, she turned her back and left. When I followed her, I suddenly saw her far away from me.
She was really fast!
I ran to catch up with her and met her eyes with the tents between us.
While we couldn't take our eyes off each other, I bumped into the hard tent material in front of me. She made a laughing sound and I was happy to make her laugh.
When our little game of chasing between the tents was over, she ran into the woods. Since I didn't have my tail prosthesis attached, I ran after it, but it soon took off.
I couldn't take my eyes off her for even a second for fear of losing her. She was beautiful in the air and she-
As I was about to fall off the ramp in front of me, I stopped and watched Y/N descend.
Noticing that I wasn't flying with her, she looked around. I exposed myself for her to see me and wanted to swell my chest for a cool landing.
Y/N point of view
I resisted laughing as Toothless tumbled down the ramp he was on.
When he gathered herself and stood up, I examined him to see if she was injured. It looked good but..
"Toothless.. What happened to your tail?" Half his tail fin was missing and.. I thought to myself how stupid I was for not understanding why he wasn't flying with me. Half of the tail fin was missing. He couldn't fly with me. But how did he fly with that human?
"Well.. I got hit years ago, and when I got hit, half of my tail fin snapped off."
I felt sorry for reminding him of that. I want to kill the hunter who shot him.
Toothless, thinking I felt sorry for him, quickly hid his caudal fin behind him.
"B-but it's okay! Hiccup made me a prosthetic tail so I could fly. I can fly with him. So I can fly with you."
His fuss about it was pretty sweet to me. "Wow. Now I understand why you're close friends." I laughed sarcastically and it went on like this for a while. We got to know each other better.
I told him about the island where I lived with my father, and he told me about adventures like the Red Death, (Drago's) Confused Beast, and how he defeated Hiccup and dragons.
I literally adored them, mostly Toothless. As for me.. I didn't have much to tell. I was a dragon doing the same things on the same island every day.
I really felt sorry for myself when I realized that I really had nothing to say.
I looked at him, realizing that Toothless hadn't spoken in a while. His eyes were fixed on a spot behind me. He gave me a smile as he looked behind me. Human smile?
Having lived with people for years, I took this as normal and tried to make the same smile. I tried even if I wasn't very successful.
Light point of view
As I slowly emerged from my camouflage and became visible, I descended to the top of a tall tree and wished they wouldn't notice me as the tree swayed.
What? No. I didn't secretly follow Toothless' human from the air. And no, I don't watch Toothless and Y/N.
All right. That's exactly what I'm doing.
After giving a toothless human smile, he looked at his human and then at me at the top of the tree. He was confused about what to do.
As Y/N bent down and cleaned her paw, I spread my wings and flapped them so lightly that they wouldn't take off. Toothless turned back to Y/N as if he understood and..
It got on two legs and started flapping its wings.
I shook my head no so he wouldn't do it to him... He didn't understand me.
It made strange strange movements and finally spread its wings to its sides, pinning its tail to the top of its head. With his eyes slit, he made noises as he made his way towards Y/N.
It was very funny and scary.
Y/N must have found it creepy as well as I did, because she walked away from Toothless. She flew down to the nearby branch and hung with her tail wrapped around it. I spread my wings to get Toothless's attention. I tried to explain that he should go over to Y/N and hang out when he looked at me sadly.
... He still didn't understand me and broke the branch Y/N was on.
