A Ghouls Assistant (sodo x reader)

chapter 2

He played for a couple minutes before he started playing 'Darkness At The Heart Of My Love' and you felt yourself slowly drifting to sleep.

You heard the faint sound of his guitar until you fell asleep fully, you were tired because you didn't get as much sleep as you usually would last night.

Not even 5 minutes later you were rudely woken up by sodo pulling the chair away from the desk that you were laying your head on, causing you to almost fall off the chair.

You snapped up and glared at him, he glared back with his eyes flashing an amber color which made you shrink down into the chair a tiny bit. You knew better than to be afraid of the ghouls because of how sweet they usually are but sodo was honestly unpredictable to you.

"You dick.." You muttered out.

You looked down for a second before looking back up to him, "what time is it?" You asked him, crossing your legs.

He picked his phone off the bed and checked the time, "It's 5:20" He answered, making you sigh in relief.

"Let's continue, we only have 40 minutes left." You spoke, he nodded and sat on his bed once again. You decide to stay at the desk while you talked to him.

"What usually makes you calm?"

"Music."

"Listening or playing?"

"Both"

"Well when your playing guitar you seem to get frusturated easily, but how about when your mad you listen to music?"

"My headphones are broken."

"I can get you new ones"

The two of you spent the last 40 or so minutes talking about strategies to help him calm down during a situation where he is angry, a few arguments happened during that time but was solved after like 5 minutes of arguing. You checked the time once again and it was 6 o'clock.

"Our time together is over, same time tomorrow." You said as you got up.

"I'm looking forward to it." He said sarcastically while rolling his eyes.

You walked out and walked back to your room, you decided to take a shower and change into more comfortable clothes before heading to dinner.

You got your dinner and decided to eat outside on a bench that was in the garden. You found it peaceful out there and peace was definitely needed after working with Sodo for hours.

Your were eating silently while admiring the scenery before you heard someone walking towards where you were sitting.

They sat next to you and you recognized them as a ghoul, Rain to be exact. You looked at him and smiled which he returned.

"How're you?" He asked with a soft voice.

"Better now that I'm not in Sodos room" You told him with a chuckle.

He laughed a little before speaking, "he was really mad when he found out."

"So was I, I'm pretty sure once hes caught up with everything he needs and he finally gets his anger under control I'll be able to go back to being a sister of sin. I hope" You mumbled the last words.

"He better get his act together then." He chuckled. You two conversed for a little bit before you decided to take a walk on one of the trails in the forest behind the ministry. 

"Are you excited for the upcoming tour?" You looked over to rain who was walking next to you.

"Yeah I am actually. Being on stage and seeing all the happy fans makes me very happy. I'm glad they make us wear masks, they help with confidence.. if that makes sense." He raised his hand and softly tapped the side of the mask on his head.

"I've noticed you are a lot more confident on stage" You said with a soft smile as you glanced over at him before looking back in front of you.

You were slowly becoming closer with rain and you were happy. He was the more shy ghoul and you were glad that he seemed to be somewhat comfortable around you. The two of you shared a lot of the same interests which made talking to each other easier.

The sun started to set so you and rain started to head back to the ministry.

"If you're able to help sodo with his anger issues, you'll literally help all of us. It's been getting out of hand lately and it's starting to make me wonder if something happened to get him this upset" Rains voice cut through the silence.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know, maybe something happend recently, or maybe even in the past that is causing all this anger." He said which made you hum in thought. "Maybe. I might try to see if he will talk about it, if there is anything." Your arms hugged your body as a shiver went down it.

"It's getting chilly" You chuckled as rain took off his jacket and began to hand it to you.

You shook your head and laughed, "no, no. Please, I don't want you to be cold."

"Ghouls are more resilient than humans, plus it's not even cold." He insisted. You gave in and took the jacket from him and wrapped it around yourself.

The two of you made it back to the ministry, rain decided to walk you to your room.

You handed rain his jacket back and said your goodnights.

"Goodnight rain, thanks for hanging out with me today" You gave him a hug before he spoke, "no need to thank me, I like hanging out with you. Goodnight Y/n." He waved before walking off to his room.

You sighed as you threw yourself onto your bed, you grabbed your phone and checked the time. You sighed, it was 8:30. You set an alarm for 6AM and plugged in your phone before slowly drifting off to bed.
