After they seemed to have gotten it mastered, they all went back to their Ilu and tried again. Neteyam listened to Aya's words from earlier and corrected his breathing and heart rate as he and his Ilu swam around with the others.

Aya swam up to Neteyam and his Ilu before hitting him softly on the head, catching him by suprise. She smiled at him before swimming away. Neteyam smiled while shaking his head before following after her to get her back.

They both swam around to try and catch the other, swimming through and between the coral. Aya looked back to Neteyam as he tried catching up. She laughed before turning around to face forwards before doing an underwater backflip over Neteyam. He was caught by suprise before turning around and chasing her again with a smile.

Aya and her Ilu jumped in and out of the surface of the water like dolphins, her laughing as Neteyam joined beside her. Aya turned to look at Neteyam with a smile as he did the same before she dived back in and swam to the others.

They all surfaced on top of their Ilu's as a couple of them shook their heads to rid of some of the water. Lo'ak chuckled as Aya swam up to the two brothers. "You are learning to breathe" She said happily.

Aya and Neteyam had separated from the rest of the group so that Neteyam could learn on his breathing more. Aya had said yes and showed him to a rock where they sat side by side.

Aya had a hand on his lower stomach to follow his breathing as she softly spoke. "The way of water has no beginning and no end..The sea is around you and in you.." Her soft voice soothed him in his breathing as the waves crashed against the rocks they sat on.

"The sea is your home..Before your birth..And after your death." Neteyam listened to her words. He turned to look at her as her eyes were closed and she breathed along with him.

He simply looked at her facial features with wonder, from her braided hair to the tattoos along her neck and arms. He smiled to himself before looking away.

"Our hearts beat in the womb of the world..Our breath burns in the shadows of the deep..The sea gives..And the sea takes." She looked to Neteyam as she finished her last words to find him already looking at her. "Water connects all things..Life to death..Darkness to light.." She finished with a small smile.

"When you are ready, We can begin" She spoke to him. "I'm ready" He said softly, still looking at her. He was finally noticing the blue ring around her pupil, it was beautiful. She smiled before getting into the water and grabbing a small, flat shell. He soon joined her.

"I will throw this into the ocean, you will follow it and retrieve it" She told him what to do. He nodded before she tossed it a little ways away. Neteyam looked to the shell, then to her before breathing slowly.

He looked to where the shell had gone before going under and swimming to it as it sunk deeper and deeper into the water. As he followed the shell, he replayed her words in his head, from the beginning to the end. 'Water connects all things..life to death..darkness to light..'

He snatched the shell in his hand before slowly swimming back to the surface where she was waiting. He raised his hand with the shell high above his head as it surfaced before his head. He gasped as he could breathe again, looking to Aya with a smile.

"I got it!" He said with excitement, She smiled at him and swam towards him. "You did!" She couldn't help but laugh as she reached for his hand that contained the shell. They smiled at each other as Aya's hands stayed on his one hand with the shell between his fingers.

While Tsireya, Kiri, and Tuk had went underwater to see the ocean at night. Aya and Neteyam were walking along the beach, a ways away from her home. The bioluminescent water showing beauty in its waves. It was silent between the two as they walked along the sand.

Aya sighed in content catching Neteyam's attention as he looked to her beside him, She was just slightly shorter than him, the top of her head hitting his forehead.

Neither spoke, just enjoying the silence except the waves as they crashed onto the sand, getting their feet wet. "Never have thanked you for the training" Neteyam spoke up softly. Aya turned her head to him with a smile. "Of course" She spoke softly.

"It's been a while since I've actually trained someone in our ways of life" She finished. "You've had other tribes here before?" Neteyam questioned. She shook her head. "We had a Na'vi man come here, he had five fingers, said he needed sanctuary because some humans were after him, this happened long ago."

As she told the story, Neteyam listened as they continued walking. "I was told to train and help him by my parents after we agreed on him to stay. It took a while but he eventually managed to succeed, I was little back then but I was still a pretty good teacher" She softly laughed as he joined her. "You sure are" He added.

She looked to him with a smile before looking back forward. This part of the story however got hard and Aya had a hard time continuing as she sighed softly. Neteyam noticed and looked to her. "You don't have to continue"

She smiled at him quickly before facing straight again. "Turns out he had been spying on my people and used the training I gave him to help the humans with attacking us." Aya's words got quiet. "And soon, we were fighting one another. That's how I lost my parents.." Her words seemed to get quieter.

Neteyam looked to her with suprise and sadness, he placed a hand on her shoulder stopping their walking, "I'm sorry" He spoke to her softly. "I thought you were Tonowari's daughter?" He questioned. She shook her head.

"He and Ronal took me in after the war. Their my family." Aya looked up to him with a small, sad smile. "But that is why we hardly trust letting anymore people in, especially half Na'vi"

Neteyam released his hand from her shoulder and looked to his five fingers. She could see guilt in his eyes, she looked at him with a soft expression as she knew he was thinking differently about himself.

"Neteyam.." She softly grabbed his hand with both of her hands causing him to look from his hand up to her. "You are not them.." They both looked into each other's eyes. "I trust you, And your family.." She finished with a soft smile.

"But I am different, I am not true Na'vi" He spoke softly, still thinking of himself as a monster as he turned his gaze away from her. She pulled his hand closer to her as she still had her hands on his.

"I see a true Na'vi in front of me. These five fingers.." She opened his hand, showing both of them his fingers. "..Don't make you different." He looked back up to her. "They make you unique.." She finished softly.

They looked into each other's eyes, it had gotten silent apart from the waves of the ocean. They both suddenly stepped apart from each other as Aya heard her sister calling her name from far away.

Tsireya soon ran around the corner to see the both of them, "Father needs you at the hut" Tsireya said to Aya. She waited for her sister with a smile seeing the two of them alone out here.

Aya turned to look at Neteyam, "I uh..-" She pointed to her sister, she awkwardly chuckled as he did to. "Go on already" He laughed out. She smiled at him before running to her sister. Neteyam's gaze followed her as he smiled at her retreating figure before walking away himself.

"What was that??" Tsireya laughed, nudging her sisters elbow. "Nothing!" Aya laughed, "We were just walking and talking" She defended herself. Tsireya laughed, "If you say so" Aya rolled her eyes playfully before turning to her sister, "How's Lo'ak?" She smirked.

Tsireya went silent and a blush rose to her cheeks. Aya laughed as both sisters walked to their home with the stars bright as ever in the dark skies above them. But all Aya could think about was the amazing time she had with Neteyam that night.
