Chapter 35: A trick

Pomegranate made her way towards the two, "Do you remember the plan?"

"Yes? But question, why do I have to pretend to be-"

"Because I need to be prepared in case something goes wrong. As much as I don't like to admit it, Affogato cookie is an expert in his field. We will need to counter incase he decides to use his poisonous gas."

(Y/N) sighed, "Okay. Time to use my acting skills once more."

Pomegranate slapped her forehead while Poison Mushroom chuckled, "I pray to the darkness below that all this goes well." She took a deep breath, "Now, you two go upstairs and get into position. I will go grab Affogato."

The two watched Affogato leave the dungeon room in a hurry before facing each other.

"Okay. Are you ready Poison Mushroom?

"Yes~~~ I am so excited!"

(Y/N) pet the kids head, "Nice! Now let's do this."
(Y/N) then grabbed the boys hand and the two ventured up to the dining hall.

(Y/N) sat in Dark Enchantress cookies seat.

God you can feel the evil emanating from this chair.

They then nodded towards Poison Mushroom who smiled, "Now, have a shroomie!"

He shouted before a think layer if smoke encompassed the older cookie. (Y/N) held their breath trying not to breathe in the toxic fumes. Thankfully the spell was complete not long after that and (Y/N) was finally able to take a healthy breath of fresh air.

They rubbed the toxic fumes from their eyes before they looked down. Wearing a very familiar robe with one red glove and one black glove, (Y/N) stared in awe at the transformation they had took thanks to Poison Mushroom's magic.

Thanks to his ability to cast illusions from his toxic magic, he is able to make the user see things that aren't actually there. Or make other people look like someone else. Which is why Pomegranate cookie came up with this plan.

(Y/N) gasped at the sound of 4 footsteps heading towards them. They gently gestured for the child cookie to hide somewhere, which he did immediately.

(Y/N) then stood straight up, trying their best to come across as the literal embodiment of evil. But they couldn't lie that on the inside they were terrified.

Affogato cookie let out a yawn as he made his way towards the dining hall. Pomegranate cookie not far behind with a determined look on her face.

"Your majesty. Is there a reason you called me so late in the evening?"

"ʸᵉˢ" (Y/N) squeaked. Pomegranate cookie cleared her throat to try and distract Affogato from the Pathetic attempt at confidence.

She glared at (Y/N) who quickly cleared there throughly, "I mean... yes. Indeed I have something to tell you, and I could not wait till morning."

"What is it?"

"Affogato cookie. Your help here is no longer needed." (Y/N) said, trying to come off as cold and sinister as possible.

Affogato cookie's eyes widened but he tried to compose himself, "I'm sorry?"

"You heard me. All that was needed from you was to get (Y/N) and bring them here. You did your mission successfully. Now there is nothing left for you to do here."

Affogato cookie's smile stretched as he tried his best to contain his composure, "I see and who told you it would be best to get rid of me. Was it perhaps-" The mage turned, "Pomegranate cookie."
