Chapter- 9

"Aghhh..... Damn... Why I can't concentrate? What is happening to me? This girl..,..... What's wrong with her. Why she just can't stay out of my sight. Since she came into my life, everything is messing up. Oh god when will she go away from here...." He said and closed his eyes while talking a deep sigh.

"Papa.....I am fed up ......" 12 years old Avni screamed while throwing the pen on the study table.

"What happened Avni? ...." He asked and placed his hand on her head.

"Papa this Maths.... It's so difficult. I don't know who made this to torture innocent kids like me. How would I know the value of X. This algebra....I feel like this is the biggest problem of the world. Who mixed the numbers and alphabets together...3x, 5y.......arghh....I can't do this...."She said and made a grumpy face.

His father couldn't refrain but to chuckle at her innocence.

"Avni... You mother is right about you.... You are really a drama queen...." He said and started laughing.

"Papa...." Avni exclaimed while frowning.

"I am already in trouble and instead of helping me you are making fun of me....."she said and tears started appearing in her eyes.

His heart melted down looking at her teary eyes.
"Avni...... Don't be upset. You are my brave child. These small problems are nothing. I have full faith in you. There is nothing in this world that you cannot do. You are capable of doing everything. You are my pride, just never stop trying. Keep working hard and never give up until you succeed". He said and kissed her forehead .

She woke up  with jolt. She touched her forehead and looked around. It took her some time to realise that it was a dream but she could still feel him around her...
A pleasant smile appeared on her face . She felt like he was blessing her.

"Thank you papa..... I will never give up...." She said with new hopes in her eyes. She got up and started doing her work with enthusiasm.

Vikrant was in his room after getting ready as he left his room his ears heard tinkling laughter. As he was coming down from the stairs he saw Sam running after Avni. She was making comical faces to tease him and he was chasing her while laughing hard. He was surprised. She was back with her smile.

What is this girl.... Yesterday she was so sad and now..... He kept thinking.

"Angel please stop now.... Ok I lost.... Now please stop..." Sam said while holding his ears.

"Hummm.... Good... But now be ready for your punishment...." She said while looking him with suspense.

"No... No... Please No.." He said with terrified face.

Vikrant was watching everything. As he heard the word punishment....and saw Sam's afraid face, he got shocked.

His muscles twitched in anger.
She wants to punish my son.... He looked at her furiously but the next moment his anger vanished when he saw her kissing Sam's cheeks.

"Angel please stop... You always make my cheeks red...." He said while caressing them.

"So what... It's your mistake. I can't control myself when I look at these chubby cheeks... Humm.... I just want to eat them...." She said and started tickling him.

"Stop... Please stop....." Sam was unable to control his laugh.
"Badi dadi... Please save me....." He shouted while giggling.

Vikrant was standing there ashtonished. This was the first time when he saw Sam this happy. His laughter was so cute. He never saw him this happy with anyone else... Then his gaze fell over Avni. Her smile... There was something in that smile that for the first time he didn't feel irritated. He was busy staring her when suddenly her gaze fell on him. As their eyes met, her smile disappeared and he too instantly averted his gaze.
