Chapter-10

"Sorry sir??" Ajay couldn't understand.

"Whom are you talking about sir?"  As he questioned Vikrant became furious.

"Avni...." He said and this time he looked at him seriously.

"Oh.. Avni... Nothing important sir. She is a cute and funny girl. I really liked her nature and her sense of humor.... She is fab...." He started praising her.

The way he was talking about her and how his eyes were showing joy, Vikrant couldn't control himself. He had no idea, why he was feeling that way? Some strong feeling was consuming him from inside and he was not able to bear it and burst out.

"Stop it Ajay....... It's enough. Now go and get all the papers ready I am coming...." He ordered him and Ajay went out. He was too surprised at his behavior. He had seen his anger before but this time, it was not only anger or irritation it was something else.

Vikrant was again feeling suffocated. Like something is taking his breath away. He unbuttoned his shirt at the neck to breathe  freely. He was inhaling deeply to calm himself. After few moments when he felt little bit relaxed he went out for his meeting.

"What happened Sam why are you not talking to me?" Avni said as she saw his grumpy face.

"I will not talk to you. Why you didn't come to pick me up from school?" He said and crossed his hands on his chest.

"Awww.... I am really sorry Sam. I know I have hurt you and you are angry. Humm...it means you will not go out with me for icecream... "She said while making a face.

As he heard ice cream all his anger disappeared.

"No.... I am not angry.. See I am smiling.... Now let's go.. I want sundae...." He said while showing his tiny teeth.

Avni smiled at his cuteness and they both went out. It was almost sunset but they had not came back. Weather was getting cloudy.

"I think it will rain today..." Dadi whispered and called Avni and asked her to come back soon.

Avni and Sam finally returned home. They were in the garden inside the mantion when suddenly it started raining.

As the cold drops of rain touched her face a beautiful smile formed on her lips. Rain..... She loved it so much. Since childhood she would just  wait for the rainy season. She felt overjoyed every single time when she saw the falling raindrops from the sky. It literally used to wash away her stress and she felt relaxed. Whenever it rained she couldn't help herself and started enjoying it.

"Angel run it's raining...." Sam shouted while running and stood under the roof.

"Why Sam?..... Just look!!.... How amazing it is!!.... Come let yourself get wet under this cold shower... "She cheered while opening her arms and started playing and enjoying the  rain.

"No... Angel..... Come here...... Dadi will scold if she would see you getting wet....." Sam told her.

"Don't worry Sam.... Nothing will happen... Come ". She said and filled her palms with rainwater and splashed over him.

"No angel.... He shouted and she started laughing. She was continuously laughing and throwing water on him when Vikrant came back home.

"Oh this rain... I hate it so much.. Look how muddy becomes the road and my car... Tsk, Tsk.... Shit..." He mumbled and walked inside while holding the umbrella. He was walking through the garden when his breath hitched.

His eyes got stucked at her. Avni was playing in the rain like a kid. The smile on her face was so pure. Her body and hair was drenched with rainwater and was moving left and right  while jumping in joy. Her happiness was something that he found himself hypnotized. He was staring at her like never before. Looking at her sweet smile, her innocent eyes, her cuteness, his cold heart skipped a beat.

"Avni what are you doing?... You will get cold. " Dadi shouted as she saw her. As Vikrant heard her he too came out of his trance.

"Vicky.... Thank god you are back too.... Come.... Weather is getting worse... As dadi said avni instantly turned and saw him standing there. The way he was looking at her she felt nervous. She instantly averted her gaze and rushed inside.

That night he was not able to sleep. Everytime when he closed his eyes her smiling faces appeared in front of him. He was turning side by side to relax but nothing was working. He was going crazy.

"Damn.... What is this? I am fed up now . Why is she all over my mind? Why I can't stop thinking about her?  If this keep happening I'll go insane. I have to do something about her..." He said in frustration.

No...I can't tolerate this anymore. She has to leave...... He thought while resting his head on headboard.

It had been days since that night. Vikrant was trying hard to not to come across her. He started leaving the house before everyone gets up and came back only after midnight. He was making sure to not to see her again. Side by side he was wishing her to leave the house as soon  as possible. He was waiting for her another mistake. So that even Dadi won't be able to stop her but to his surprise she didn't do anything wrong. He had never listen any complaint against her.

Today was saturday... Avni was again going to studio. She was hoping for the best. After doing her all the work she reached there. She was talking to the guard when she heard a screeching sound of the car. As she looked there, her eyes got wide with happiness when she saw Ayush coming out of the car.

He was looking really handsome in his tight fitted grey T- shirt and blue denim.

"Hey look Ayush Khurana....." Few girls screamed in excitement when they saw him. Soon he was surrounded by them.
He was busy giving the autograph and selfies when he heard a familiar voice.

"Ayushhhh......." Avni shouted while waving towards him. As soon as he saw her, his face dropped in nervousness.

He removed his shades to confirm if that was really her. He was stunned to see her there. He had never expected her there.

Avni...... How is she here? He was shocked but he instantly calmed himself down as he saw her coming towards him.

"Thanks, Thanks...." He said and freed himself from those girls and walked towards her.

"Hey Avni.... What a pleasant surprise!!" He said and gave her a quick hug while ensuring no one saw them.

"Ayush..... Where were you? You know for how many days I was searching for you and you didn't even call me....." She started bombarding him with her questions. She feeling so heavy. She was waiting for him since a long time and when he was finally in front of her she was getting impatient. She wanted to know the reason of his past behavior.

"Wow.....you have got tones of questions." He said while pinching her cheeks.

"So.... Am I asking something wrong?....." This time she said in a little anger and he could feel her aggression.

"Hey Avni..... Just relax.... Look I know you are upset with me and we should talk about it but please not here. As you can see I am getting late for my shoot. Here take this......" He said while giving her, his address.

"Tomorrow is Sunday.... Please come to this address. We will talk freely ok.... You know, Mom and dad would be so happy to see you...." He said and wore his shades again.

"But....... "Avni was about to say something but he cut her off.

"Please Avni..... We will talk tomorrow...." He said and walked away without looking her back.

Avni was stunned.
Is he the same Ayush who was my friend and fiance? He seems changed. He behaved like a completely different person.What happened to him? He never treated me like this before. He didn't ask anything about me. Where I am staying? How I am surviving till now? Nothing... He just went away like this.... What's going on?..... She was confused.

"It's ok Avni... Atleast he has come back. May be he is really busy.. Tomorrow you will get your answers...." She said while looking at his address..
