58 Betrayal is always inevitable

Start from the beginning

My mouth couldn't stop itself. "I'm tethering you? When you've already got your big-ass leash around my neck, and you know damn well it tightens whenever I get a taste of your cock. It tightens and tightens until only my bones hold me together—and I'd still let you break even those."

His eyes widened, and then he laughed—a full-bodied laugh, clutching his stomach as if what I said was the funniest thing he'd ever heard. It twisted something inside me to hear it.

"I thought you were planning to show your submissiveness," he said, still grinning. "Or am I wrong?" His gaze flicked to the shattered phone for a brief moment before shifting to Rie, who had been watching us both closely. Lucas patted Rie's back as if they were sharing some unspoken understanding. "Ken's got a nasty mouth now, hasn't she?"

"I wanted her back," Rie confessed immediately.

"Of course you do," He sighed. "That's why you've been lugging around these little gadgets that flash out the brainwashing with a simple burst of light, isn't it? Even though I was taking it slow, carefully washing out those drugs with time, letting her come to me naturally. I wanted Ken to lean into me so deeply she'd never turn back." He paused, his eyes narrowing slightly. "But even after all that, she still doesn't remember how she was the one holding our chains all along."

He took my hand and kissed the back of my palm, his lips cold, almost mocking. "My poor, beautiful princess," his voice was soft but sharp as a blade. "You'll be devastated when you realize it, but you started all of this." His fingers pressed into the scar on my chest, sending a sharp pain radiating through me. I hissed, my body tensing. "You started all of it."

"My parents had the power," I spat out, trying to cling to any semblance of control.

"That's right," Lucas confirmed.

"Did you just want their power?" I asked, feeling the weight of the truth closing in on me.

He let out a low chuckle, shaking his head. "I wish it were that simple."

Suddenly, Rie's hand moved, scooping up one of my breasts in his palm. My eyes widened in shock, but before I could react, Lucas stood up, entirely unbothered by Rie's actions.

"If it were simply about power, we wouldn't have to do this," Lucas continued, his voice calm, almost detached. "We could've killed you with your parents and been done with it. Maybe I'd have played with you for a bit first." He confessed. "But you were clever, weren't you? After all, you're your parents' daughter. They lived for too long, became arrogant, and you knew once arrogance sets in, the senses dull. They thought everything would always go their way." He clicked his tongue, disappointment dripping from his words. "They created an organization of criminals. They should've known betrayal was always inevitable."

I stared up at him, the pieces falling together in my mind, though I could barely process it all. Rie's hand squeezed, but it was Lucas's words that were tightening around my neck now, like the invisible leash he'd spoken of. My chest felt heavy, the scar burning under his touch, the weight of my parents' sins suddenly suffocating me.

"And now," Lucas leaned closer, his eyes locking onto mine, "you're left picking up the pieces of the legacy they left behind. But don't worry, princess. We're all bound together in this. You may not remember, but you'll learn to love the chains you placed around us all."

"You keep talking in circles," I scoffed, my patience hanging by a thread. "Why don't you already spit it out? Tell me what really happened. What do you really want?"

He raised his brow, feigning innocence. "Goodness, you're making me seem like the villain here."

Rie shifted again, his hand squeezing my breast, and I immediately grabbed his wrist, trying to still him. Despite the mess of this situation, part of me appreciated the way he shielded my chest from the cold air, but the fact that he was still inside me—moving—made everything feel even more miserable.

"Why don't we stay still for a moment, hmm?" I suggested, my tone edging on desperation.

Lucas chuckled softly. "I agree. The adults are talking."

I glared at him. "You could've at least waited until we finished."

Lucas stepped in with an exaggerated swagger, hands raised in mock surrender. "Oh, come on! Making us freeze out here? You're cruel. If it were the drugged version of you, you'd be thanking me for the entertainment."

"Yap, yap," I cut him off, rolling my eyes. He thrived on reminding me of how he'd drugged me, like it was some twisted trophy. "And it's not cruel; it's called courtesy. Besides, would you interrupt if it were your grandma having sex?"

A look of pure revulsion crossed Lucas's face, but then he quickly regained his composure, smirking. "Ew, are you kidding? That's just wrong. What kind of monster are you?"

"Wait—did you actually see your grandma having sex?"

"Don't even remind me, princess," he said with a low chuckle, his lips curling into a smirk that made it clear he was enjoying this more than he let on. "But hey, don't worry about it. I don't mind watching you like this. You like it too, don't you? Or should I make it more interesting and join in?"

Before I could respond, Rie's hand clamped over my mouth, and he suddenly rammed himself into me, forcing a muffled gasp to escape from my lips as my body jerked in surprise.

"I'm sorry," Rie mumbled, his fingers still pressed firmly over my lips. "I just... I've wanted this for so long. But the way you talk... it's so... well, I don't like it when you say such bad words." His voice was shaky, trying to hide his embarrassment. "I-I just thought maybe I could quiet you, just for a little while... you know, while we... while I have my cock in you..." His cheeks flushed as he trailed off, too shy to finish the sentence.

Lucas teased. "Pretty ironic, don't you think? Complaining about bad words, and then you go and say 'cock' like it's nothing."

"It's just a word," he glanced briefly "just part of the body."

Lucas chuckled, leaning in closer, his tone dripping with amusement. "And what about 'sex'? Still just a word?"

Rie hesitated for a moment, his face flushed as he replied, "Maybe... but it gets me hard every time she says it."

Lucas let out a chuckle, his eyes narrowing in on me, the weight of their attention making it hard to breathe.

Rie started moving, agonizingly slow, his hands pressing against my lips, threatening to break my teeth. It felt like I was suffocating, and panic clawed at my chest.

I couldn't breathe.

My nails dug into Rie's arms, but the gentle version of him was nowhere to be found. Just when I thought I might break, my hair was yanked backward, and I gasped as I was freed from Rie's grasp—only to have something much larger thrust all the way to the back of my throat.

"You're damn right," Lucas' voice a deep rumble as he licked his lips, a grin spreading across his face. "Let's finish this first. And while we're at it, before our time's up, I think it's time I lay bare what really led us to this moment."
