Treason?

What the fuck?

"Miko is to be Jacob's season partner, coming between such an agreement carries grave consequences." The Luna huffed back, her stomping reaching the top of the stairs.

Hamish adjusted his position and bit down again, a mortifyingly loud moan filling the room. I blushed and squirmed, that particular spot felt tethered to nerves I'd only ever stimulated with the toys hidden in my season box.

"Jacob and Miko have no such agreement!" Julia countered, her slippered feet hurrying after the determined Luna.

Hamish's jaw released my neck, his tongue almost burning hot as it soothed the tender bites. His gentle biting left a mark but was far from causing bruising or breaking the skin.

I pushed up, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and pressing my face into his neck. I rubbed my forehead, nose and cheeks against his neck and throat, purring as his pleasant pheromones got transferred onto my skin and vice versa.

The bedroom door flew open, banging against the wall and shuddering from the impact.

Multiple gasps followed, and something I can only describe as an enraged screech assaulted my ears.

Hamish and I slowly separated, he slipped behind me, his focus centred more on my neck than on the four adults now crowding his room. It seemed there was indeed an alpha in there somewhere, but not like the alphas I'd learned to expect.

Hamish was the same, he saw what other alphas were like and was told how he should be and didn't understand it. He was reluctant to bite me, frightened even.

We both knew what to expect, but was it right?

I got taught the necessary stuff about the birds and the bees, then learned more through other omega's gossip, and the occasional thing from a book. Second-hand knowledge doesn't always equate to real-life experiences, alphas don't act like how they do in books, Jacob was right about that at least, didn't mean I had to settle though.

Adam and Julia still seemed shocked to find Hamish and me in his bed, my attire of particular interest, or there lack of it, especially my bare legs and the bite marks littering my neck.

"I never agreed to be Jacob's season partner." Just want to get that out there.

"You... you planned this..." Luna accused me with a glare.

"I sure hope so, our guardians set up the arrangement. Jacob interrupted us from agreeing to the arrangement yesterday so I came here early to discuss some things in private with Hamish and to make our season agreement official." I explained.

"Jacob came to you and offered to be your season partner. You said no and insulted him, and for what? The alpha you chose is still only a child." She practically spat.

The two men in the room were awfully quiet, the Alpha silent behind his mate, Adam the same. I don't want to sound sexist but women sure like to meddle.

"Hamish is able to partake in the season this year is he not?" I challenged the Luna despite the danger that came with it.

"Yes," she confirmed reluctantly.

"Does pack law allow children to partake in the season?" I continued.

"No, of course not!" she hissed.

"Correct me if I'm wrong but then isn't your assessment of 'the alpha I chose' incorrect? I'm also a little rusty with pack law in regard to season agreements, remind me, who is allowed to interfere with official season agreements?"

The Luna spluttered, looking enraged but knowing that technically, and legally Hamish and I did nothing wrong, that actually by being here she was in breach of pack law and what she was attempting to do would get her a court hearing if the Collective Pack Council found out, which I'm sure she knows I'm fully willing to give them a call or send them a letter about what's been going on.

It was no surprise when she turned tail and stormed out of the house, the Alpha silently following behind her.

They needed to get Jacob a partner and soon, I was no longer available, and from my knowledge, neither was any other unmated omega in our pack, which meant they'd need to contact neighbour packs.

Alphas, like omegas, have quite a rough time of it if they go through the season without a partner, alphas are much more aggressive and destructive, but they will experience a similar pain I felt last year, an unsated rut is just as dangerous as an unsated heat. If the pack Alpha and Luna don't want Jacob to end up in the infirmary by the end of the six weeks then they needed to find him a partner, and as the future alpha (unfortunately), that won't happen without one alliance or another being formed.
