Having everyone together again makes Mattheo feel like he has his family back together. The days that he spent alone in Arcanville feel like a long distant memory now that he's back with Artemis, Frey and Lorenzo.

Mattheo would spent most of his day playing Quidditch with Lorenzo, Harry and even Atlas some days. Hera would watch them, and she would try not to look like she was only there to watch Lorenzo play. Lorenzo tried to show off for her, and he doesn't really have the best skills on a broomstick.

Artemis and Iris keep locking themselves in the Library from long stretches of time. They're trying to research this strange magic of Artemis'. That they cannot find anything in the Bellator library makes Artemis think that all evidence may have been removed.

After a few days Saturday comes around. Artemis, Atlas and Hera spend a lot of the day running around getting all of the decorations and such ready for the evening. Meanwhile, the boys take their trip to Diagon Alley for their school equipment, and attire for the ball.

"It is stupid that we must dress up!" Tom barks harshly over his shoulder to Mattheo and Lorenzo. He is being fitted for his dress suit by Madam Malkin.

"A handsome boy like you must have a date for the evening?" Madam Malkin asks of Tom.

Tom never had to contend with human emotions. Thomas Riddle never had any sort of emotions, and Tom hadn't had them until his contact with the locket. Tom, however, seems to grasp anger as his prime emotion, and hasn't experienced love or attraction for anyone yet.

"I have bigger matters to which to attend" Tom snarls back at the elderly witch. He knows he has handsome features, and it annoys him that it garners the attention of females, as he is in no way interested.

"Said the boy without a date for the evening" Mattheo jokes with his brother. "Did anyone even ask you?" Mattheo wonders of Tom.

Tom snorts. "And who will I have been around to ask to this ball this evening?" Tom muses to Mattheo. Tom has only been around Mattheo and Delphini for the whole summer, and Artemis, Frey and Iris since they got to Bellator Manor, none of whom that Tom likes to speak to.

"There are plenty of girl that will be at the ball this evening, you could ask someone while you're there?" Lorenzo suggests. Mattheo frowns at Lorenzo, it sounds like he has an evil plan brewing. "I'm thinking of killing two birds with one stone. Distracting the walking bad attitude here, and also dealing with your Mattheo-obsessed stalker Drew Chang" Lorenzo whispers to Mattheo.

Mattheo has to laugh at how stupid that seems. Tom is more likely to kill Drew Chang than to date her. Tom's violent tendencies are even worse than Mattheo's.

"Lorenzo, I fear that every time that you speak, I wonder how you have enough brain cells to make speech?" Tom berates Lorenzo.

"And I fear that your attitude stinks. You aren't going to make many friends by being a walking bad attitude" Lorenzo corrects Tom. "Look at Mattheo, he has hands down the worst bad mood I have ever seen on a person, but he also makes time to help out his friends and be nice to people" Lorenzo uses Mattheo's past anger issues as his template. Mattheo gives Lorenzo the evil side eye.
