Still looking at the left, I looked to the area in between the Death Eaters and the entity in the sky. The dark mark was there, looming above them. There was a streak that seemed like a mistake, connecting the entity and Voldemort. I realized that the streak wasn't a mistake, it was a rope, binding Voldermort to the evil god.
I looked over at the right and it looked like the same scheme as the left side, only that the right was bathed in lighter colors. On the top of the painting, there was an angry goddess. I made sure to study her closely and realized that it was Hikari painted as the goddess. Oh, the goddess of light! That's why her side was bathed in yellow and white. I looked down and saw that there was also an army at the bottom, only they were wearing robes with either green, yellow, blue, or red on them. Some of the army members had regular street clothes on.
I realized that the picture was depicting the Battle of Hogwarts, also known as the Second Wizarding War. So that had to mean Harry was the leader of the army! I looked to the front of the Hogwarts army and realized that it was a female leading them, connected to Hikari by a rope as well. Not Harry...maybe it was Hermione? I looked and saw that Harry was behind the girl. Strange. I observed the girl closer and then I began to rapidly blink. That hair color...the skin...the height...It was me leading the army, not Harry. I frantically looked back and forth across the painting, piecing things together. If the light goddess in the image was Hikari, that meant that the dark and evil god had to be Kurayami! And there was a rope tied between Hikari and I, signifying we were connected, but there was also a rope between Voldemort and Kurayami, meaning they were connected. And Voldemort was leading the Death Eaters and I was leading Hogwarts...it all fit together, just like the beginning of the prophecy. This image was a depiction of the prophecy I was a part of. I smiled in excitement and then my smile faded when I realized that Voldermort was bound to the demi-god trying to covet my powers for himself. If Kurayami was backing Voldemort that meant he was much, much stronger. Would I be able to face him? To defend Hogwarts? To—
"Y/n, we have to go! Hermione's waiting!" Harry's voice echoed down the vault towards me, snapping me out of it. I ran towards the entrance of the vault and snagged a handful of Galleons before closing it.
"Are you alright Y/n? You look pale," Fred said, worried.
I nodded softly. I needed more time to investigate my role in this world, my family, the vault, and the prophecy. Turns out traveling to your dream reality doesn't mean you'll just have an easy life there and be with your desired characters.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I lied.
Once we were back outside on the marble steps, I realized that it was the time when everyone separated to go shop for their own stuff. In the books, Harry, Ron, and Hermione all just toured shops and bought stuff. Mrs. Weasley and Ginny went to buy everything she needed, and Percy went off on his own. Fred and George also were supposed to go shop with their friend, which meant that I was going to be left alone.
The separation began to happen as Percy took off and said, "I need to buy a new quill."
"Now, Ginny and I are going to buy some robes from a secondhand shop. We'll all meet at Flourish and Blotts in an hour to buy your school books. This goes for all of you: Not one step down Knockturn Alley!" After everyone nodded their heads in agreement, Molly and Ginny set off to the shop.
"Mr. Granger, Mrs. Granger, allow me to take you to the Leaky Cauldron!" Mr. Weasley said enthusiastically, steering both of them away. Now it was just Fred, George, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and I.
"Well, shall we explore?" Hermione said. "Y/n, would you like to come?"
"No, I'm okay. I've got other stuff I need to buy. You guys go without me," I said, regretting the decision instantly. I wanted to go with them but I didn't know if it would cause any problems. Yes, my goal was to disrupt really big events in the story, but I didn't want to disrupt everything so badly that I didn't even know what was going on. I mean who knows, we could all accidentally step into a really dark shop and then all of a sudden I could summon Kurayami and we could all die.
I watched in silence as they left, waving goodbye at them until they finally stopped turning around to look back at me. I sighed softly. Now I was alone—
"Why didn't you go with them Y/n?" George's voice said from behind me. I yelped in fear, since I forgot that they hadn't left yet.
"Didja want a chance to hang with us?" Fred said, waggling his eyebrows. I face palmed and sighed.
"Oh, look Fred, it's Lee!" George exclaimed.
I turned and saw Lee Jordan running up the steps to Fred and George.
"Hey guys!" Lee said.
"Hey!" Fred and George replied.
"Do you guys want to check out Gambol and Japes Wizarding Joke Shop?" Lee asked the two of them.
"Sorry Lee, maybe next time," Fred said to my surprise.
"Yeah, we're hanging out with Y/n right now," George chimed in. Lee tilted his head, confused, until he turned and saw me standing beside them, partially hidden. His eyes widened and then his face became smug, a smirk forming on his face.
"Ah, I see. Well, enjoy your time together you three. By the way Y/n, it's nice to meet you and I think you and him make a great couple," Lee said, turning his back and quickly walking away.
Fred and George both looked at each other, their faces bright red. They both turned back to Lee and yelled at the same time, "Me or him?!" Lee pretended not to her and kept walking. I couldn't help but burst out laughing, making them both turn towards me.
"Well Y/n, where are we going?" Fred asked.
"Uh— well, I was planning on wandering...alone?" I said, still trying not to disrupt anything too much, since I had no idea what affected the story anymore. Maybe Lee walking away affected it, I don't know! That stupid picture made me really, really paranoid.
"Umm Y/n, we didn't go with Lee because we wanted to go with you," George pointed out.
"Yeah Y/n, we just sacrificed being with someone else to be with you. Are you really going to let us down?" Fred asked, guilt tripping me. They both looked at me and fake pouted like children.
You know what? I'm way too paranoid right now, I thought. Nothing is going to happen.
I sighed in defeat and said, "Fine."
