Fields (Mike Hanlon x Reader)

It Took Beverly

Y/N, Ben, and Mike all go up to Beverly and pull her down. They all look into her cloudy, dull eyes.

"Bev," Ben says as he shakes her. He then asks the group something that they were all thinking, "why isn't she waking up? What is wrong with her?"

He keeps shaking her lightly while being obviously desperate and upset, "Beverly, please! Come on!"

Mike and Y/N exchange a look, a worrying and saddened look. The group all thought she was dead but Ben. He was still hoping. Ben backed away then grabbed her face. He then leaned in and kissed her. The rest of the group looked in shock, clearly not expecting that to happen.

"Wow," Richie said, bring everyone back to reality.

Ben backed away again and then there was a gasp. The group all looks as Beverly's eyes gain it's color back. She then stares at Ben, almost with a loving gaze.

"January embers," she said with a smile.

"My heart burns there too," he finished.

"Jesus, fuck," Richie breathes out, harshly. They rest of the group walked up to the others and they all just hugged for a moment.

Y/N backs away first and spots her cousin, right next to Bill. She wanders over and sees what she expects to be Georgie. The rest of the group didn't notice that Y/N left them completely.

"What took you so long," Georgie and Robin, Y/N's cousin, said in a creepy unison. The both had sad looks on their faces and both were missing an arm.

"I was looking for you this whole time," Bill says with his voice slightly trembling. Y/N was also saddened but couldn't speak out of being freaked out. She thought Robin was dead. Her whole family thought that.

Georgie kept talking to Bill while Y/N zoned out. She went through all the possibilities that Robin was alive and they didn't make sense. Realistically, Robin should've been dead. She was still stuck in thought then heard two loud bangs. She looked over and saw both of what were supposed to be Robin and Georgie on the ground. Y/N looked over at Bill and saw him panting. She then looked back and saw the two merge into one then grow from the limbs with a clown outfit.

"What the hell is going on," Y/N screamed as the others finally went next to them.

The clown then popped out fully and sat up. He then stood up and Eddie, along with Richie, started screaming, "Kill It! Kill It! Kill It!"

Everyone then screams and all try to keep grasp of the weapons they held.

"It's not loaded," Mike tells Bill, frantically. Bill didn't seem to hear that and tried to pull the trigger on the clown.

"Holy fuck," Richie spoke softly as they watched It's forehead slightly breaking apart. The clown shook and screamed at the group then lunged at them. It then landed on Bill and he blocked it with Mike's gun. It bit down on the weapon as the chaos began.

Beverly then swung something at It. Mike also tries to hit it but gets flung back like he was paper. Then they all try and hit Pennywise. Unfortunately it didn't work and they all got pushed away. Pennywise held Bill in such a tight grasp that you could see tears forming in Bill's eyes.

"I'll take him. I'll take all of you," It said with its creepy voice, "And I'll feast on your flesh as I feed on your fear. Or, you'll just leave us be. I'll take him, only him and then I will have my long rest and you will all live to grow and thrive and lead happy lives, until old age takes you, back to the weeds."

"Leave. I'm the one who dragged you all into this... I'm s-s-so sorry."

Pennywise mocked him then Bill yelled, "go!"

"Guys we can't," Beverly exclaimed.

"I'm s-s-sorry," the group heard Bill stutter out.

Richie gets and slowly walks towards the two, "I told you, Bill. I fucking told you. I don't want to die. It's your fault. You punched me in the face, you made me walk through shitty water, you brought me to a fucking crack head house," he grabbed a bat and stared right at them, "And now... I'm gonna have to kill this fucking clown."

Pennywise slightly pushed Bill away, clearly the wanting to go for Richie instead because of the fear he had.

"Welcome to the Losers Club, asshole," Richie yelled and swung the bat at It, making It stumble slightly. Then one by one the group runs towards It and tried to kill it. Stan was able to hit It in the stomach and it turns into the creepy woman that he's scared of. A few of the group end up trying to hit It again. Ben ends up being the one to wear It down by using a pole and It stopped and shook violently.

"Kill it," Eddie & Y/N ended up screaming at the same time. The group continued trying to hit it, to actually kill it. The group was able to get Pennywise to the floor but kept hitting, not trusting that It was dead. It decided to transform into two different things before turning into Beverly's dad.

"Hey, Bevvie. Are you still my little-," It tried to say but Beverly shoved a fence post part right into the face.

It chokes and starts to stumble, then shake, then move back slightly more.

"That's why you didn't kill Beverly. Cause s-she wasn't afraid. And we aren't either. Not anymore. Now you're the one who's afraid. Because y-you're going to starve," Bill said with an angry tone and glaring at the clown.

"Fear," It said as It fell apart, breaking away into the air.

"I know what I'm doing for my summer experience essay," Richie says trying to lighten the mood. Everyone else relaxed, knowing it would be done.

"Guys. Guys," Eddie says to the group and points at the kids floating down slowly. "The kids are floating down."
