Pilit kong iniwas ang mga mata ko sa kanila, to shield myself from the heartache, but I couldn't tear my eyes away from the sight. It was like a stab in the heart, a constant reminder that she was not meant for me.
I turned away with a sad heart, hindi ko sila kayang tingnan na masaya.
I exclaimed.
"Your lunch," she said, handling me the lunch box.
"I've lost my appetite, thank you." I answered, with a cold voice.
She stared at me, worrying, but despite that her eyes tells me something that I need to accept what's in her hand or else...
"Take it," she authoritatively commands.
"There's no need, busog na po ako." I responded.
She sighed in irritation, "Did Vivien came here to give you food?" she asked. Her voice became intense, it was not cold anymore, nakakapaso.
"Ma'am Vivien?" I asked, confused. I added.
"Then take this!" utos niya, tumataas na ang boses niya towards me.
"Don't want," pabalang kong sagot.
Nagulat ako sa ginawa niya, why the heck did she throw that?
"Ma'am anong ginawa mo?" I asked her, napatayo ako sa ginawa niya.
"You said you're full then what's the point?" she replied, with a cold but intense gaze.
Standing with her arms crossed, she looked at me, her eyebrows raised and her eyes holding a mysterious expression. "Did someone give you food?" she questioned again, giving me a stern gaze.
"No," I confidently replied. I couldn't figure out why she would even think someone had given me food tsaka hindi ko na rin nakikita si Ma'am Vivien simula nung competition.
Why the hell she's acting like this?
"I bought this food for you, assuming you were hungry. As your professor and mentor, it's my responsibility to take care of you," she explained. "But if you're not accepting it, then it's going straight to the trash."
