CHAPTER 25

"I love black dresses. I've planned the dress code after Charlotte's update about your choice of dress." Savannah said. Grabe ang aura of sophistication ni Savannah, talagang nagmana sa mom niya.

I'm puzzled, "Huh? so hindi black ang susuotin niyo sana?" I asked.

"Yessss," Soraiya stated. "Sinabi ni Charlotte na black dress ang pinili mo so as us."

"Gusto naming couple tayo lahat as we are the... Baddies!!" nae-excite na sigaw ni Charlotte.

After our brief conversation, nagsimula namang mag-start ang music, a classy music na pang royal. Para kaming nasa palasyo dahil sa background.

"It's time," Savannah said while smirking.

"Tara? Let's dance, goodluck on who's your partner will be, random pick lang ang mga tao dito." Sabi ni Raya sakin.

"Incase you don't know, Frey. Kahit sino ay pwede kang isayaw at pwede mong isayaw." Pakindat na dagdag ni Charlotte.

I want to dance with her, kahit saglitan lang.

"Do me a favor, please." Sabi ko sa kanila. As they're smiling to each other ear to ear.

"Hmm? What is it?" Savannah answered.

"I want to dance with her. For tonight, give this chance to me." I begged.

"Who? Ma'am Vivien?" Savannah playfully answered.

I rolled my eyes at her. Obvious naman na si Ma'am Rhea tapos pagti-tripan pa nila ako.

"Kami ang bahala. Well, we know na hindi ka bibitawan ni Ma'am Suarez mamaya but we got that. Hihina ang lights mamaya pero hindi mawawala, we will signal you." Sabi ni Charlotte. Makikita talaga sa mga mukha nilang may plano ang mga ito.

"Saan pala si Cat, Sav?" I inquired, hindi ko pa kasi nakikita si Catalina, supposedly kasama siya ni Savannah.

"She's already here, in my mom's room. She will come out later when the dance will start." She answered.

"Are you ready to be the special character?" natatawang tanong ni Charlotte sakin.

Bumalik na naman ang kaba kong kani-kanina lang nawala tapos bumalik na naman ngayon.

"I'll bet higher, guys." Charlotte smirked.

"Well, might us well I'll join." Savannah answered, smirking to Charlotte.

"I'm still here, baka nakakalimutan niyo." Pagbabanta ni Raya.

Sabay silang natawa tapos ako tulala lang. Hindi ko maintindihan at wala akong maintindihan kung ano ang pinagsasabi nila.

"Ladies and gentlemen, gather around as I once again declare the commencement of our enchanting prom night dance," announced the MC with fervor. "Seize this opportunity to sway and twirl with your chosen partners on the dance floor. As the ethereal fusion of lights and melodies fills the air, be prepared for a touch of mystique, for masks shall be distributed. Adorn your masks when the music wanes, heralding the beginning of our time-honored tradition," the MC added with a sense of intrigue.

Savannah, Raya, and Charlotte gracefully stood and made their way to the center of the dance floor where the festivities would unfold.

Naiwan ako sa table namin, not knowing what to do. Then, Charlotte saw me freezing in my seat, she purposely came back to me and grabs my hand. "Let's go!"

Nagpahatak ako sa kanya at napunta kami sa dance floor. As the elegant strains of music permeated the room, attendees, comprising both women and men, professors and students alike, gracefully converged onto the dance floor. No partners were seen pero nakatayo one-by-one ang mga sasayaw.
