"What about a pet name or something?" he gave a more sensible answer.

"Ugh, gross." Robin scrunched her face.

"All pet names are gross, 'babe'," Will mocked, laughing while struggling to finish the sentence.

"Never say that again." she cringed, sticking her tongue out.

"And what if I did?" The brunette joked.

"Then I'd have to call you 'My Willy Poo-Bear'." Robin smirked, challenging him.

Will chuckled, "You can get out my house if you think you can call me that!" he spoke through fits of laughter.

"I'm joking!" she admitted, thinking for a quick second before a thought popped into her head, speaking once again, "How 'bout 'Dingus'?"

"What?" the small boy questioned.

"Like how couples affectionately call each other 'dummy' and stuff but our code would be dingus!" Robin explained.

"Hmm." Will thought for a quick second, nodding in agreement, "It's sneaky yet endearing enough for the others not to pick it up. I like it!"

"So, its agreed?" the blue-eyed girl raised an eyebrow.

"Of course!" Will answered, quickly shaking on that deal.

They continued to discuss various scenarios, setting up strategies for different situations they might encounter. They talked about how to handle questions from their friends, or how to react smitten when the other person's name is mentioned; Robin used her experience from band and the kids within as her muse; using them as inspiration for the way they were acting. They were going to be a stereotypical 'couple' but with a lot less PDA.

Despite the fun he was having with this plan and not needing to adhere to the party's silly ideas to flirt with the girls in his class, something dawned on him. In a moment of silence, a thought crossed Will's mind, wondering about Robin's true motivation for making this plan. What was in it for her?

Finally, he asked, "Why are you doing this for me? I mean like, going along this fake-dating plan?"

The blue-eyed girl leaned against the wall, a sly smile gracing her lips, "Oh, my dear Willy-poo bear. It's all out the kindness of my heart," she replied sarcastically.

The small boy rolled his eyes, knowing there was more to the story. "Come on, spill the beans! What's the real reason?" He prodded,

Robin's demeanour shifted slightly, looking away for a moment, her cheeks tinting with embarrassment as she lowered her phone, "Okay... fine." she admitted bashfully. "There's this girl I like in band. Her name is Vickie."

"Vickie huh? And what does fake-dating do with that?" Will spoke up, his interest immediately peaked.

She chuckled in reply, returning her gaze to meet Will's "I've been trying to get her attention for a while now, but it's been tough. I thought if I had a fake boyfriend... it might make her jealous, you know?"

"Ohh, the jealousy plan! My favourite trope!" The brunette grinned, fully supportive for his friend's quest for romance, "So how can I assist in making this Vickie jealous?"
