Eleventh Flag - Don't Get Taken As A Hostage

Start from the beginning

Felix shook his head, pushing himself into a sitting position so he could fully look at Hyunjin, who now sported a forlorn and guilty expression.

"You didn't know."

"Maybe so, but I didn't want to know, either." A self-deprecating smile graced his lips. "I'm a terrible Prince, aren't I?"

"You're not a terrible Prince – just an ignorant one."

That startled a laugh out of Hyunjin, who spared him a grin. "Ouch. And here I thought Minho was teaching you the art of conversation."

"I have kingly permission to speak to you as I please," shrugged Felix, smiling a tad amusedly. "But, Hyunjin... even if you still have a lot to learn in order to become a good Prince... please keep in mind that you're already a good person, and that definitely counts for something. Alright?"

Hyunjin's eyes widened a bit, then his expression softened. "Thank you, Felix. And I really am sorry – I'll truly try to do better, from now on."

"I know. I forgive you. And I'm also sorry for blowing things out of proportions. Even with my presentation, ignoring you like I did was petty and definitely didn't help the situation. I'm sorry for that."

A teasing glint appeared in Hyunjin's eyes. "Very well. I'll consider forgiving you—"

"Consider?"

"—if you allow me to hug you for a little longer."

Surprised, Felix then rolled his eyes and laid down once more, this time wrapping his arms around Hyunjin's waist so he could hug the older properly. The Prince sighed contently, immediately hugging him back, and a comfortable silence soon took over the heat den. Felix had always been a cuddle-bug, but he hadn't been able to indulge in any sort of skinship ever since he was transported to the past. Hugging Hyunjin now, however, made him realize just how touch-starved he truly was.

"Hyunjin?"

"Hm?"

"We should hug more often."

He couldn't see the Prince's face, but he could tell Hyunjin was smiling. "I'd like that."

.

"Ready?"

"As I'll ever be."

At last, Felix's body had returned to normal, and Minho had finally given his blessing for him to not only exit the heat den, but also leave the royal suit entirely and return to his own living quarters within Hyunjin's palace – in other words, he was completely healthy once more and life was returning to normal.

It was agreed that Felix would immediately resume his duties as the Prince's personal guard, but that he would keep on attending lessons with Jisung every three days or so. He'd also made a promise to spend an entire afternoon with Minho every week, the two having grown quite close in their time together. And King Bang, in an effort to apologize for the unfortunate incident (which Felix only vaguely remembered), had made an immediate announcement to all of the Court Officials and staff: any who dared harass Felix because of his subgender would be punished with thirty lashes in public.

(Felix wasn't entirely fond of the thought of someone being physically punished, but Hyunjin had assured him that none would be stupid enough to try their luck when the royal pack so obviously favored him.)

It was thus reassured that Felix finally stepped out of the royal quarters and began heading back toward the Rising Moon Palace, accompanied by Hyunjin.

"How do you feel?" asked Hyunjin as they stepped outside.

Felix inhaled deeply, taking a moment to appreciate being outside for the first time in weeks. The air was fresh and crisp, a faint breeze making him shiver slightly, and his enhanced senses immediately picked up on various, somewhat startling scents.
