i walked out to my car, admiring how quiet it was. it felt like the air around me was comforting, and after the time I just spent inside, it was nice to have some quiet noise.

my body was still hot, practically throbbing when i thought back to how i had [name] spread out on the desk, my blood flowing down to my core. i let out a small sigh, driving home.

i picked up my son from the babysitter's, scooping his small body into my arms. "hi, jamie, did you have a good day?" i asked him, gently ruffling his hair. i thanked and payed the babysitter, taking jamie back to the car to buckle him in.

jamie nodded with a smile. "we played in the grass!" he said with a laugh. i took that as a sign to give him a bath before i took him back to misa.

"i'm glad you had fun, buddy. we're going to go see mommy later, okay?" i got into the car and began the drive home, listening to jamie babble about random things and say random words. he was good at talking, but sometimes he spoke too fast and his words came out as babbles.

i pulled into the driveway, getting out to unbuckle jamie and grab the diaper bag. "let's go give you a bath before we go see mommy, okay?" i hummed with a smile, unlocking the door to my house. i shut it and locked it behind me, setting jamie down in the living room while i went to go draw his bath.

my mind continued to wander, thoughts of [name] scattering my brain. she was so fucking beautiful, and there was nothing i wanted more than to sprawl her out on a bed and take every inch of her body.

i let out a soft groan, the feeling of the hot water on my hand startling me out of my image. i turned the heat way down, making sure it was the perfect temperature for jamie. i tossed a few toys in there and went to go grab him.

"bath time, bub," i teased, scooping him in my arms. i set him down in the bathtub, watching as he began to play with the toys while i washed his hair and body. "you have to be clean before going back to mommy."

jamie giggled as i let out the water from the tub, scooping him up and wrapping his towel around his small body. "let's go pick out some cute pajamas."

i set jamie down on the floor of his room, grabbing a pair of pajamas from his dresser. i quickly got him dressed and handed him his favorite stuffed animal so i could pack some of his things. i grabbed his hand, making him walk beside me as we headed out the front door to take him to his mom's.

the car ride to misa's was quiet, only the music and the occasional sound of jamie babbling. i let out a sigh and looked at him through the rearview mirror. he really was my only form of happiness, sometimes, and i loved being his dad.

i pulled into the driveway of misa's house, unbuckling jamie from his seat. i knocked on the front door of misa's house, being greeted by a man i had never seen before. "who are you?" he asked, looking me up and down.

"i'm kei, i'm just dropping off jamie to misa," i replied, annoyance already filling my body. "is she home? i need to talk to her."

"yeah, she's home, but whatever you have to say can be said in front of me."

i tilted my head, a small smirk playing on my face. "unless you want to hear about the way jamie was created in the firsy place, tell misa i'm waiting for her."

the man rolled his eyes, slamming the door in my face. misa came out a few minutes later, already glaring at me. "do you really have to start shit?" she hissed. i rolled my eyes in response, handing jamie to her.

"he's had a bath already, so he's good. and the babysitter said he ate around 6. but there was actually something i wanted to talk about."

"so spit it out, my man is desperate."

i raised an eyebrow at her. "you're seriously going to fuck while jamie is in the house?"

"he'll be in his room and asleep anyway, he won't even know what's going on. now what did you need?"

"i'm going on a trip next month, so you'll have jamie for two weeks instead of one. i'll text you the exact dates when i get home."

misa rolled her eyes with a scoff. "do you think i want him for that long? the only reason i have him is because the court makes me. he's a brat."

i bite my tongue back from saying anything else about the issue. "it's for the university."

"great, choosing your work over your son. what's new?"

fuck biting my tongue. "i'm sorry your ass is so caught up in dick that you can't take care of your son, but he is not a brat. you just don't pay enough attention to him to see that. here in a few weeks, he'll be under my full care, full time."

misa looked surprised at that. "you can't take him from me! i'm the one who claims him on my taxes!" she shouted, causing jamie to scream.

"not for long, you won't. i expect him back at my house on friday, no later than 8pm. otherwise the police will be called. bye, jamie, i love you," i said before ruffling his hair. i walked back into my car and drove off without another word.

i got home and went inside, throwing my keys across the house. "fuck!" i shouted, body filled with anger. i was desperate for any sort of release i could get.

i decided to call my other ex, asking if she eas busy. i was too angry to care that it was probably a bad idea, but she already knew that and didn't care about just being used. it never lead to anything, and both of us came to that decision before we broke up.

"fuck misa," i hissed, pouring myself a glass of the whiskey i kept in my freezer. i took the shot with ease, relishing in the way it burned my throat. it was then that i realized i didn't want my ex, i wanted [name].
