"Evangelos, what's happening?" Amalia asked, teary eyed.

"I don't know." I responded, a lump in my throat as I watched.

"Come (reader), join us!" Vampyro hissed.

"In a few moments, you will be mine, beautiful creature." Vampyro raised his hand and revealed his ring. The ring was just like Percedal's sword.. but it was sucking the shadow from (reader)'s body..?

(reader)'s body was about to fall before the vampire caught her with her cape and pulled her towards him.

"You are magnificent." Vampyro sniffed my friend.

"Let her go!" I yelled.

"Leave her alone, you big weirdo!" Amalia screamed.

"Let the damsel go before I really get mad!"
Percedal pointed his finger at Vampyro.

"Ah, perhaps you'd like to join my army, foolish Iop." Vampyro grinned.

He raised his hand again but couldn't steal Percedal's shadow. He looked at his ring in shock before speaking,

"How come I can't steal his shadow? That's surprising, oh well." Vampyro raised his cape.

"Ghouls! Take care of these idiots!" He said before flying away.

"That skinny weirdo took (reader)!" Yugo exclaimed.

"We have to find her!" Amalia cried.

"Don't worry, I have a plan! Charge!" Percedal yelled.

I grabbed my bow before raising an arrow, shooting at the ones in front of my friends. We got all of them, I threw two at the door when they got too close.

"Haha, they're even more dead now." Percedal chuckled at the stack of beaten up ghouls.

I noticed (reader)'s on the table, I grab it and tuck it into my belt.

Ruel walked in the room, looking tired and angry.

"What's going on here? Can't you see I'm trying to sleep?!" Ruel lectured.

"(reader) got taken while you were asleep, you old man!" Amalia snapped.

"I must be dreaming still, let me go back to sleep.." Ruel responded, I glared at the old man.

"There's no time to sleep, we've got to save (reader)!" Amalia sighed.

"There's too many of them. We have to get out of here!" Yugo warned at the groaning ghouls climbing into the inn.

"They don't feel any pain! Use your sword, go on! That's what it's for!" Ruel instructed.

I stayed in the back, shooting arrows at the ghouls attacking from behind.
