44. Mood Swings

"Hi didi.."

"Hi Maithili.. come come.."

She enters the room and I ask her to take a seat.

She sits next to me and looks at the laptop.

"What were you doing this early?" She asks.

"Nothing just exam things.." I reply.

She noddes her head as she looks into what I was searching on the laptop.

Meanwhile Waffle comes into the study as Maithili left the door open.

"Hi baby.." I say as he jumps on the couch and comfortably sits in between me and Maithili.

"So what's going on?" I ask.

"Nothing I get bored alot."

"Yeh toh us moment ho gaya.."

She bursts into laughter and says.."ya you get bored.."

"What? Did I say some joke?"

"Nahi nahi aap joker thodi n-" and all of a sudden she halts her words as her eyes go on the shadow-like creature on the door.

She quickly stands up and lowers her eyes.

Amrit Singh Shekhawat.

He slowly steps into the room and looks at me the way an eagle looks at his prey.

Uhh..I know why this is.

"Don't leave in the morning." He had said last night.

And I-..

"Maithili you can leave." He says in a cold yet calming tone.

"Yes sir." And she leaves without looking up.

"Hiii Mr. Amrood." I say in a cheerful voice and expression as if I did nothing.

"Hello meri jaan." He replies in his calm tone with 0 expression.

He takes so slow steps and stands stands right infront of me.

That is when I realise he locked the room.

"What did I say last night?"

"Uhhh..I thought you will sleep more because Kumbhkara- oh nahi I mean ghode bech k- offo I mean..you were sleeping so soundly so I thought I shouldn't disturb you. Hehehe." I give him my most awkward yet funniest smile ever.

He comes closer to me and bends down to my level. The moment he does that Waffle goes down from the couch and sits on the rug.

"Arey Waff-"

He places his arms on either side of the couch and cages me.

"Kumbhkaran right? Godhe bech ke sona right?" He says as he bends more so that his face is at a negligible amount of distance from mine.

Butterflies is all what I am feeling right now.

Dragonflies and fireflies as well I guess.

But just imagine a person with the most beautiful green eyes ever looking so deeply at you.

Oh and his eye lashes.. mine mine..

We are literally breathing the same air.

The fuck Manheer what are you even saying.

But I am fucking shivering right now.

Not because I am scared..but how godly handsome he looks even in his normal sweatshirt.

He parts aside a few strands of my hair from my face which I didn't even realise were on my face untill he touched them.

Goosebumps arrise on my arms when his cold yet soft fingers touch my cheeks the moment he does that.
