Team Bonding

"You're probably right." She says laughing.

"We leaving in 20 and picking up Summer and Bodhi so get ready quickly!" Manu says making Poppy get a move on.

TIME SKIP

We arrive at the Anchor Cove Sports Center after a short drive with lots of laughing. Turns out Summers pretty cool. 

"Ok Ok! Lets go, lets go lets go!" Manu says hustling us out of the car.

"Ears wide open yeah? An no backchat. Its hard enough teaching you guys as is." Manu says to us.

"Cheers Manu." Ari says closing the door. Yeah he came with but mostly texted Wren.

We all wave goodbye to Manu as he drives off.

"Poor Manu." 

"I Know, Its so unfair. There's no way the new coach will be better." Poppy says.

"You can say that again. All Tetanuis are pro surfers and pro coaches." I say.  

"In here team." Wren says from up the stairs waving at us. We all wave back as I hear Poppy sigh.

"Go on run to her." Summer says. 

"Is there a problem?" Ari says annoyed.

"Wren called her an entitled brat to her face." Poppy says and then pulls me away into the sports center.

"Why is there already drama?" I ask Poppy sighing as we walk into the center.

"That's Summer for ya, shes awesome but comes with drama." Poppy says as we put our bags down. 

I see this lady kicking Griff with a boxing bag thing. Whatever it is, the sight makes Poppy snort as he falls.

"Oof." I say giggling with Pops.

"Okay, is everybody here? Great. I'm Elo Radic, your new coach." 

After she gives us a little speech and tells us about herself, we all split up into different parts of the room warming up. 

As shes busy speaking, Baxter casually walks in as if he did'nt come 20 minutes late. That's really disrespectful. 

"Sorry sis, did I miss your big inspirational speech?" The nerve this guy has.

"Burpees. Now. All of you until I say stop" Elo says. Baxter and I make eye contact and he sends me a wink making me roll my eyes. Good thing my cheeks are tinted in pink from lunges otherwise he'd see my blush.  

We do some fitness and strength exercises and somehow Baxter manages to look hot in all of them. Its the way his muscles flex and the sweat dripping off of him.

Ugh what am I thinking, hes my teammate.

"Right , so ten years ago aerial surfing was underground. And now its pretty much expected on the mens tour. And by the time you guys turn pro, air revs and full rotations, they're gonna be expected for the girls too. I mean Cora's already ripping them." Elo says making Baxter push my leg teasingly from the floor. I quickly kick him back and focus on Elo.
