Unbeknownst to them, Emma had reopened the portal and was tightly grasping both of Alex's hands, using her to anchor The Doctor home.
The TARDIS whirles through the air, and Willow can hear a large thud, she hopes it's The Doctor and The TARDIS moves again, Willow falls into Clara's arms and both of them scream as The TARDIS moves upwards, then stops.
It's materialised where the wormhole was, and The Doctor is still outside it, Clara opens the doors and high-fives him while Willow falls into him, and he grabs her hips to balance her.
"Hi," she grins, her hair is everywhere, but her voice is airy and bright.
"Hi,".
Outside the TARDIS
The Doctor had briefly asked Emma about Clara (without Willow's knowledge), but her answer was that she was completely normal.
Now, they were saying their goodbyes and Emma hugs Hila, The Doctor joins "Where will you go?"
"He can't take me home. History says I went missing,"
"But he can change history."
"No, no, no, I can't, actually. There are fixed points in time, you see -" Willow grabs her husband's arm "What?"
"Hi," she pulls him back, and Clara takes his other arm, Alex is linked on her right arm.
"I knew you were there. I could feel you," Hela tells Emma and The Doctor goes to speak, but the women pull him back.
"I know."
"Have we-?" Again, they pull The Doctor back
"We can't have. You haven't even been born yet." The Doctor breaks free of Willow and Clara's grasp.
"No, you can't have met but she can be your great, great, great, great, great-granddaughter!" Palmer walks over "Yours too, of course. But you guessed that already, didn't you?" Palmar's eyes widen "Oh. Apparently not,"
"The paradoxes-"
"Resolve themselves, by and large," Willow repeats The Doctor's earlier words "As I said, trust us, we have experience with grandchildren, children and paradoxes,"
"That's why the psychic link was so powerful," The Doctor explains "Blood calling to blood, out of time," he grins and Alex smiles "It's why you could find me again - Alex was there," he walks off grinning "Not everything ends. Not love. Not always!"
"Doctor, what about, what about us? Emma and me?"
"What about you?"
"Well, what's supposed to happen? I mean, what do we do now?"
"Hold hands. That's what you're meant to do," he nods after looking to Willow for reassurance "Keep doing that and don't let go. That's the secret,"
"Don't know who taught him this stuff," his wife rolls her eyes playfully, but looks at Emma "Don't let go, be the light switch," she winks, referencing their earlier conversation.
The Doctor walks off, then realises something, slapping himself "Oh, I'm so slow! I am slow!"
"You are," Willow nods
"I'm notorious for it. That's always been my problem!"
Willow has flashes of a previous incarnation
"Oh I'm thick! Look at me, I'm old and thick! Head's too full of stuff, I need a bigger head!"
"But, but I get there in the end. Oh yes!"
"Dad?" Alex questions
"How do sharks make babies?"
"Carefully?" Clara guesses
"No, no, no. Happily!"
"Sharks don't actually smile. They're just, well, they've got lots and lots of teeth. They're quite eaty -"
"Exactly. But birds do it, bees do it, even educated fleas do it,"
"Only educated ones, obviously," Willow jokes
"Every lonely monster needs a companion," The Doctor explains, running to see the house, Clara, Willow and Alex follow, there's movement at an upper window of the house.
"There's two of them?" Clara asks
"It's the oldest story in the universe, this one or any other. Boy and girl fall in love, get separated by events. War, politics, accidents in time. She's thrown out of the hex, or he's thrown into it." his arms wrap around all three women, Alex and Clara are squashed together and Willow looks up. "Since then they've been yearning for each other across time and space, across dimensions. This isn't a ghost story, it's a love story!"He runs back to Hila, Emma and Palmer.
"Excuse me. Excuse me. Sorry to interrupt the rest of your life. So. Tiny favour to ask!"

a/n: so, serious talk time. I was writing this after FINALLY regaining inspiration - ironic that some came after I said I had none for a year, huh? But I realised that I just...don't like the second half of season 7 lol. Like they're fun to watch! But writing is different, I can't see how to fit in Willow or Alex, Oliver and Amelia and am NOT having fun.
So, I'm thinking I write 'The Crimson Horror' just because I love that episode, 'The Name of The Doctor', 'The Day of The Doctor' - OBVIOUSLY OMG IM SO EXCITED TO WRITE IT. after that, only 10 years of episodes to catch up on...oop. Then ' The Time of the Doctor'...then hello 12.
Thoughts? I know this might upset some people but no one's really been commenting or voting so idk lol.
