"Did you pack everything you need?" Acacia inquired for the umpteenth time that morning.
Carson watched on while she was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.
"Calm down," he told her while he reached out for her hand and motioned for her to take a seat next to him on the large ottoman in his walk in closet.
She couldn't quite understand how he could remain so calm when he was about to undergo major surgery.
"What if something happens to you?" She said the quiet part out loud. Acacia didn't want to speak negativity over him, but couldn't help but think about the what if's.
"Nothing bad is going to happen to me." He tried to assure her while simultaneously trying to reassure himself as well.
Carson had faith that the surgery would be a success, but he was anxious nonetheless. He would essentially be putting his livelihood in the hands of the surgeon, but he couldn't really do anything else but remain positive and hope for the best.
He had given Hector the week off because he wouldn't really be able to travel anywhere for a while anyway, so Acacia would be the one driving them to and from the hospital.

Carson was still a little drowsy from the anesthesia but fully awake and he was ready to leave and be in the comfort of his own home.
Luckily the surgery was an outpatient procedure so he was allowed to go home the same day, but he did have strict rules that he had to follow however.
Acacia had taken some personal days so she could take care of him until he was allowed to start physical therapy.
She'd also hired a nurse who would be assisting her with taking care of him during the first few days of his recovery because he was unable to walk on his own.
Acacia had also taken precautions to make sure that his drive home was as comfortable as possible. She was happy that she opted to join him in dressing down for the occasion by wearing matching jogging suits and sneakers.
Valerie had been awaiting their arrival at the house and helped Acacia with getting him inside which was quite the task.
He couldn't walk up the stairs so they'd transformed one of the downstairs rooms into a bedroom where he would be staying until he was able to walk on his own again.
