Understanding Willow

"Who would have thought that photo class here involves creating photos from your memories just by pulling them out of your head?!" Bijou said as she took a book from her locker.

"It's pretty neat, huh?" Jackie said, beaming at how pleased they were.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so excited about photo class! I can't believe you can take instant pictures of your actual memories!" Luz said, tickling her locker to make it open its mouth. "I'mma see me some baby Willow and Jackie!"

"I'll admit, I was adorable," Willow said, putting her hands on her cheeks. "But I think Jackie and Bijou would be a much cuter when they were younger."

"We'll see about that," Bijou joked. Luz's locker closed, grabbing her book back. She wrestled for it.

"Don't eat that!" she exclaimed before falling back. The locker hissed at her, and she returned the favor.

"I can't believe they'd hang out with her," Boscha joked as she, Amity, and Boscha strolled down the hall together. "It's just embarrassing. 'Look at me. I'm going on a date with my ferns'," she teased as she went past them on purpose, eliciting a laugh from Skara. Amity did not react.

"That could be anyone," Luz attempted to cheer up Willow.

"Solid Willow impression, Boscha," Skara commended her. "Amity, weren't you friends with Willow?"

Amity cringed immediately as the four females stared at them. "I'm a Blight. We only associate with a select few. Keep annoying me, though, I'm happy to select fewer."

"Oh, I could've sworn that you guys hung out..."

"Aw..." Willow dropped her shoulders, Bijou flaring little. For starters, she could recall Willow expressing this to them a few weeks ago, when they brought the Owl House to life. And the girl felt just as depressed as she did back then. Clearly, she valued Amity's relationship, and she couldn't understand why Amity would make an effort to be good to Luz but not Willow. If Amity truly wanted to be friendly with them, she would acknowledge them or not allow her other pals to make fun of them.

"I'll handle this," Bijou said as he walked by them, and they looked up in surprise. The girl concealed a plant glyph behind her back.

"Hey Boscha."

The girl in question whirled around with contempt.

"Ew, talking to you is already a drag, you lil trinket, and it hasn't even been a minute."

"I just wanted to let you know that you've got a little something on your shirt," Bijou said, planting the symbol on her blouse.

"Ew! Whatever, don't touch me," Boscha slammed her hand away, and the glyph activated, knocking her off her feet as she became entangled in a vine. "Ahh! Get me out of here, human! You'll PAY FOR THIS!"

"That's what you get for making fun of Willow," Bijou smugly remarked as she dusted her hands rejoined her friends.

"Won't you get in trouble for that?" Jackie inquired, and she waved it away.

"We know Boscha by now. Telling the principal isn't enough to punish her; she'll probably plan something embarrassing. Until then, I have to be prepared."

The three walked away, Bijou's sketchpad sliding from her bag. Boscha looked up and gave an ugly grin. She took it in her hands and opened it. Her eyes flickered between the drawings, and she snickered.

"No way...I'm so posting this on Penstagram!"

Edric was walking by when he heard this and flinched in surprise.
