One More Time (I Will Wait)

Start from the beginning

"You should've at least sent a bigger moon to accompany them."

"...I trust them." He said firmly. "You shouldn't just underestimate them like that." That's not the point!!

Luna growled, his hands tugged at their restraints. "Get out of my face." He almost screamed at him. He was looking real punchable right now.

If Titan stayed around any longer, Luna was sure he would've actually risked dislocating his shoulders just so that he could land a fist on the bastard's patronizing face.

Thankfully, after a lengthy pause, Titan solemnly complied and left Luna to stew in his thoughts.

"Think about my offer at least." He had said. Right.

While anger and frustration took up most of his thoughts, there's panic surging in the very center of his core.

Stars. There's no way he was going to make it to Earth in time.

Luna told Earth (and Mercury) about their plan, he trusted him to be smart enough to not to fall for the bait. But there was no harm in praying to whatever higher being was there that the blue planet would sit still.

As long as Earth didn't leave his orbit and stayed away from the Asteroid Belt then everything was fine. — At least until they figured out something was up.

Minutes later there was a whistle. The same three moons who Titan had sent away were back.

"What'd you two talk about?" One of them drawled, his surface was white with blue-tinted rifts, "I've never seen golden boy make a face like that before." He was the only one who hadn't acknowledged his presence at all prior Titan's arrival, yet now his eyes gleamed with mirth and interest as they searched Luna's.

Luna didn't say anything, but the corners of his mouth twitched with an urge to pull back and form and ugly snarl.

The satellite grinned and turned to his other fellow moons, "I'm starting to like this guy." he said.

"Enceladus!" The smallest of the bunch snuck over to the side of the moon who was to Luna. He was gray, his head peppered with small craters all over. And he had only one eye, there was a large crater in place of his left. "Don't fraternize with the enemy! He might use you to milk valuable information." He very loudly whispered.

"It's fine, Mimas, it's not like he has anyone he can tell."

"Ack!" 'Mimas' drew back. He glared at 'Enceladus' in both shock and rage. "You can't give them my name like that!"

"You did it first."

"Knock it off." The third moon said. She was the one half his size. Her surface was similar to Luna and Mimas', along with icy cliffs on the left side of her face.

"And you are?..." Luna asked.

She looked at him, and a beat later said; "I'm Dione. And as you already know, these two are Enceladus and Mimas." 'Dione' waved to the other respective moons. "What's your name, stranger?"

Luna regarded her skeptically for a moment. She spoke like she was talking to a friend of a friend. He almost forgot that Dione was also a part of the revolution with how casual she was being. "Luna." he said quietly. There's no harm in it, he supposed, he rarely ever got the chance to give his name anyway. At least now he won't have to deal with getting called 'Earth's Moon', ugh.

While they didn't have anything to measure the passage of time, Mars knew that at least a couple Earth Days must've passed by now.
