Chapter XVI

"We missed you!" Krystal.

"Come on! Sit with us." They let go from the hug.

"Where's Wendy?" I asked. They then pointed out the table she's in now with Joy. They were holding their laugh. Ah! These two really! I look at them. "I'll just buy food first." I said and shoo them back to their table. "I'll follow."

I fall in line. It has a long line already, maybe because it's lunch time. Most students are here. After a few minutes I was close already. Then I heard a group behind me talking.

"It's a long line can you make it to your next class if you still have lunch?" I can't help but listen.

"Your schedule's a mess. 30 minutes for lunch time is way too short." Well that sucks. I was next now, then I heard a very familiar voice.

"I'll just buy a sandwich and go. Don't worry." I look behind me confirming it was really her. They were the last in the line now, since they just arrived. 30 minutes break? It'll take her 10 minutes or more if she will still fall in line.

"Miss, what can I get you?" I look at the cashier. Oh fuck it. I can't let her do that to herself.

I ordered food for the both of us. Living in the same house, I've learn to know some of the food she eats and doesn't. After I got my food I look at her direction. She's looking through something on her Ipad, unlike the other two she's with. She's that busy now. I sighed before going to her. When I got closer I can sense the two she's with look at me.

"Hey, I got you food already." I said. She look up to me surprised. "Come on. You can't be late nor just eat sandwich for lunch."

"Excuse me, but who are you?" one of the girls, she's with, asked. I just waited for her answer and ignored the person who asked. Still not over the fact that the did nothing when Bogum proposed.

"Miss you can't jus--"

"What are you doing here?" Joohyun spoke before the other girl can finish hers.

"To eat lunch?" I answered her.

"Really?" She asked, not believing it.

"I'll tell you, while you eat your lunch." I gestured her to follow me. I took steps away, but sensed that she didn't follow. I look back at her again. "Coming?" She suddenly let out a small smile

"Sorry girls. I'm gonna have to go first." I heard her say before catching up to me. "What did you get me?" She asked while looking at the tray I'm holding. "Which one's mine?" She look up to me.

"Let's go sit first. You can chose, which one you want." I said to her as I started to walk my way to my friends, with two of them having this shocked look directed to us. "Guys, you know Joohyun..." I said trying to introduce her to them.

"Unnie sit here beside me." Joy offered to her. She look over to me first, I nodded. I sat across her and place my tray in the table. I waited for her to pick the dish she wants first, before I took mine. I give her cutlery.

"Eat now." I said to her. I look over to Joy. "No time for talking. She's going to be late to her next class." Joy just glared at me.

"Okay, what's happening?" Krystal said that made us all look at her, well I didn't look.

"Don't get distracted." I said. I suddenly heard a laugh from Wendy.

"Yah! Kang Seulgi! Just let her eat at her own pace." Wendy said, while calming down. "So what brought you here? Shouldn't you be at home?" They all look at me.

"I just got bored home. I actually came from the company but they just ignored me there, so I went here." I said to them.

"I thought you're just her to make sure Joohyun unnie eats lunch." Wendy teased, not realizing the surprised look of the two beside me now.

"I'm confused. Why do I feel like you four are close already?" Hyeri asked us.

"Did we miss something?" Krystal.

That's when Wendy and Joy told them that we had dinner days ago. She also explains how we just met outside the Uni and decided to just go out. Also the part that Joy and Joohyun are cousins. The only thing they left out was the venue of our dinner. I just let them explain since they already finished their lunch.

I notice her getting finishing up her food already and checking the time. I hand her a napkin to wipe.

"Thank you."

"Are you two together now?" Krystal suddenly opened up. We look at each other first.

"Stal." Wendy said in a warning tone.

"Do you know that our Seulgi here, likes you?" Oh God!

"Hyeri!" This time I'm the one who called her out. It's embarrassing.

"What? Are you denying it now? Do you not like her?" Hyeri asked. I look over to Joohyun and she had this smirk again.

"I'm sorry for my friends." She raised her brows hearing what I'm saying. "You can go now, you might be late for---" She leaned over the table not removing eye contact.

"No, I want to hear your answer." She said. Whaat?!

"H-huh?" I stuttered.

"Do you not like me?" Is this a test or what?

"You're going to be late." I said to her.

"I don't care." She said.

"You--"

"Kang." She said it like giving me a warning.

"I do." I admit. She smiled widely this time. She's teasing me.

"Save that on the day of our marriage." I was taken aback with that. huh? She then stand up and get her things from the table. "Thank you for letting me sit with you guys." She said to them, before facing me again. "I'll see you later?" I just nodded as response, 'cause God I don't know how to speak now. She then walk away from our table.

"Was that really the Bae Joohyun? The University's angel?" Hyeri asked in disbelief.

"She looks so into you, KangSeul. What did you do?" Krystal.

I don't know, really don't know.
