Chapter 97

"You promise"? He asked in a tiny voice, like a kid.
And Spade nodded because he couldn't say anything, he was slowly losing control, he needed to get Nate to bed as quickly as possible.

Nate finally collected the water from him and drank it all before handing the cup back to Spade, using the back of his hand to rub his lips.

Spade dropped the glass on the table before he turned to look at Nate, who was staring at him, his eyes holding a distant look as if he was analyzing and studying Spade.

Spade got up and Nate's eyes followed him, he stood tall so the young man had to crane his neck to be able to look at him.
He leaned closer to Nate as if bending down to his eye level
"We need to get you to bed, come on" he muttered before draping Nate's hand over his own shoulders, he picked the man up and slowly they both trudged towards Nate's bedroom.

The last time Spade had done this, he was picking up an almost dead Nate, he clenched his jaw as he remembered that he still hadn't found out who did that shit to Nate.

He kicked the door open and walked in with Nate, with the young man blabbering about what he didn't know.
Nate really couldn't hold on to his alcohol, at least he didn't throw up on their way here

"You said you had a surprise for me yesterday, but you didn't show me anything" Nate muttered, as Spade slowly dropped him on the bed

"I do have a surprise for you, but I doubt you'd even understand if I told you now" Spade told him, his brows creased together as he looked at Spade, scrunching his nose up

"What does that even mean"? He mused and Spade sighed out, he leaned closer to Nate with both his hands on the bed in front of Nate

"It means you're drunk, and if I told you now you probably won't remember it tomorrow" he explained, his husky voice and hot breath fanning Nate's face as he smiled cheekily again

"I'm not drunk" he slurred out "I'm just tipsy" he mumbled and Spade looked at his eyes, those brown eyes swirling with too much that even Spade felt light-headed looking into them

"Right" he clicked his tongue

Nate looked up at him and smiled again, he'd been doing that a lot tonight, and everytime he did it, it made Spade's heart to skip a beat.
"You're pretty" he mumbled, making Spade's heart to pick up, fearing that his heart could burst out, he didn't know what to say

He always knew that drunk people always said the truth no matter what, the words of a drunk person were never a lie, so did that mean Nate found him pretty?
He almost smiled at that, him, Spade, pretty.

"Is that so? you think I'm pretty"? He asked deciding to play along, maybe tonight he'd find out if this pull and attraction he was feeling wasn't one sided after all
Nate nodded innocently, as he pushed his putty lips out

"Yeah, you're really pretty, with your perfect hair, amazing nose and skin, your lips.." Nate slurred bringing his hands up, letting his finger to slowly touch the top of Spade's lips, he tensed up as he felt Nate's fingers brush against his lips, electricity coursed through every vein in his body.

He quickly reach up and grabbed Nate's hand before he caused more damage than he was already doing now, Spade swallowed as he felt his heart beat create a huge lump in his throat.
"And your beautiful eyes" Nate finished, his eyes landing on Spade's, his lips parted slightly, as he felt every nerve in him lit on fire, blood and heat all rushed to his nether region, maybe he was losing his mind because he didn't think this was happening at all.

He dropped Nate's hands slowly on the bed, he got up from the bed, suddenly missing Nate's warmth, he couldn't stay there one more second with Nate saying all those things.
If his heart didn't explode out of too much excitement, beating and blood rush, then he'd definitely do what his body had been pushing him to do all night, and it was getting really hard to fight if off.
