Black Assassin Wings (Completed)

Chapter 26.

I almost felt sorry for Zachary. Almost, but some things just aren't meant to be.

I looked away and began walking towards the forest to be alone with my own thoughts.

What would happen when Ava and Derek finally mate? Would he become an Angel? Would she abandon me? She wouldn't just do that she's my sister, but would I be able to third wheel around with my sister and her mate? Would he become a higher rank than me?

Without realizing, I was walking deeper and deeper into the forest and that's when something grabbed my face and immediately I was bolted upwards into the sky. I tried to struggle against the grip so I could free myself but the grasp was just too strong.

Suddenly I was dropped.

I felt myself falling out of the sky and before I could even react I was landing face first, hitting the ground with many bones in my face breaking and painfully re healing.

"Fuck!" I yelled out, feeling the effects of the healing.

"I thought you were supposed to be a lot tougher than that Evangeline," I heard a husky voice say as it sent shivers down my spine.

I stood up, staggering a bit and looked up to see Liam looking down at me with his bat like wings outstretched.

"Are you trying to kidnap me?" I asked as I shuddered.

He swooped down from the tree he was perched in and landed right in front of me. Even in the dark he was still cold and intimidating as he was in the light.

"You're going to help me with someone or else I can do things to hurt you," He chuckled as he smiled at me.

I wasn't sure why I was quivering in fear so much. When Ava told stories about him I always imagined myself giving him a slow and painful death.

Now that he was an Archangel and up close and personal with me he honestly scared the shit out of me.

"And if I decide not to?" I said with shaky confidence in my voice.

He stared at me for a second with such a dark look as he chuckled.

"Have you ever encountered an Archangel Evangeline? You know there are only a few things out there that can actually kill you pitiful Angels," He smirked.

He raised his hand and gently caressed my face causing me to shudder in disgust.

"And what is that?" I asked.

He turned away from me, looking into the dark forest around us.

"Archangels are one of the only few beings that can potentially kill Angels, crush your souls until there's nothing left but the memory of you which is why you will help me or else," He turned to look at me with such a deranged look.

"I don't care if you take my life, it would mean the world to me if I am finally untied with the Moon Goddess herself," I laughed.

He growled as he leaned closer, his face dangerously close to mine and smiled.

"I know your weak spot Evangeline. What about that sister of yours? Avangeline, do you think she feels the same way?" He chuckled.

"You won't touch her!" I yelled.

He grabbed me and slammed me against a nearby boulder.

"Then you will simply do as I say," He growled.

"Never," I spat in his face.

A silver dagger appeared in my hand and I quickly sliced at his face causing him to yell and drop me. My wings sprouted from my back a I attempted to fly off, Liam grabbed my wings and threw me hard against the boulder until I was out cold.

"I'm out for her blood," Was all I heard before darkness surround me.

"Eve!"

"Evangeline!"

"Eve wake up!!!"

I bolted up and noticed Nicholas and Taylor staring at me and based off their worried expressions, that meant something wasn't right.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I lifted myself from the ground.

I flinched as I looked behind my back and noticed my wing was broken.

"Eve, your wing is-"

"Let's not worry about me right now, what's wrong?" I asked impatiently.

"Alpha Derek is in a frenzy," Taylor said.

I looked at her as I rolled my eyes.

"Last time he was in a frenzy you attempted to have sex with him, just go get Ava to calm him down,"

Nicholas growled at me.

"That's not the point right now Eve, every time Ava comes near him her eyes go black and she tries to attack him,"

I jumped up and tried to fly up into the air but I was sent crashing down as pain overtook my body from my broken wing.

"Eve just follow us, obviously you can't fly right now," Nicholas beckoned for me to follow them.

We walked throughout the forest and I noticed Nicholas and Taylor walking side by side, talking amongst themselves.

I continued to stay silent as I walked behind them, as soon as the pack came into view I heard screaming and yelling coming from the house. I ran ahead of the couple and burst through the doors revealing a black eyed Ava holding her sword in her hand with Ariel holding her back with vines and Alpha Derek being held back by Zachary, eyes as dark as night.

"What is going on?" I screamed over the loudness.

"She tried to kill him!" Ariel shouted.
