"Thank you, Albert." He broke through my thoughts.
I nod, walking over to hand him his glass. "No problem."
He took the glass, taking a sip. I followed in suite, taking a sip as well. For a minute there, we just drank the wine.
"When.." He started. "Are your brothers going to be here."
I pause, swirling my wine in my cup. "Hmm... Our brothers will be here in a little under a half hour."
He rubbed his brow, breathing in deeply. I placed my hand on his shoulder, hoping he'd relax a bit.
He placed his other hand on mine, sighing. "Yes, I suppose they will be." I watched him use his free hand to neatly place the papers in a small little pile next to him. He then turned to me, smiling. "How about we relax in the parlor while we wait?"
"I'd love to." I chuckled, lifting my hand as Mycroft released it.
I started towards the door as Mycroft stood, stretching. He followed quickly as I walked towards the parlor.
We sat down on the couch, drinking our wine in silence as sunlight drifted in to dance across the parlor and our skin. The warmth of the rays was very pleasant, making me slightly drowsy. It was like the sun had hypnotized me.
Mycroft was feeling it too, from the way his eyelashes were fluttering while he tried to keep his eyes open. He was clearly enjoying the break from his work.
The next few minutes passed by so quickly, it was a cause for mourning. I leaned against Mycroft's shoulder, and his hand instinctively held my side, supporting me.
I closed my eyes, feeling at peace in this warm and fuzzy atmosphere.
But as soon as my mind started to wander off into sleep, a brisk knock sounded at the door. My eyes shot open, and I sat up straight. Mycroft also seemed caught off guard at the sudden sound. I blinked, regaining my composure.
"Coming~!" I called, standing. "That must be them." I said to Mycroft.
He nodded, still looking a bit disturbed.
I then walked over and opened the door, seeing a familiar face. The kind red eyes meeting my green ones seemed to smile when the door opened.
"Liam!" I extended my arms, William embracing me as well.
"Albert!" He then released me, smiling. "It's been far too long."
I nodded. "It has indeed. Come in, come in! Mycroft's in the parlor."
"I'll go see him." William then brushed past me.
Sherlock gave me a brisk nod, hoping to follow William.
"Hello to you as well, Sherlock!" I smiled, watching him walk over to William hurriedly.
"Brother." Louis said calmly, a pleasant smile on his face.
I smiled too, as I hugged him close. "Oh Louis, I'm so happy to see you."
He hugged me back. "And I you, brother."
"Come in, come in!" I ushered him, breaking the embrace.
He lowered his head, walking in.
I closed the door, my mood lifting indefinitely. I then returned to the parlor, sitting next to Mycroft once more.
He seemed a bit off guard at how at home my family was.
William and Sherlock were sitting on the free couch, conversing quietly. Louis was taking the chair, looking around with an appreciative gaze.
