Chapter 2

Cedric: What the... *He murmurs*

*No! Don't look at it but of course he did. Cedric picks up the sketchbook and begin looking through some of your previous drawings. You begin to heat up in embarrassment when he flicks to the end of the book, where there's two drawings of him. One is detailed and complete, the other one, you have only started. You finish the first one just this afternoon. He closes the sketchbook and look up directly at you. You pray that the darkness is enough to shelter you from his view but as luck would have it, he calls out your name.*

Cedric: y/n?

y/n: *You sigh* How did you know it's me?

Cedric: Your name is on the front of this sketchbook *You are glad that you are in darkness because your face is heating up from embarrassment again*

y/n: Can.. May I have it back?

Cedric: *You see him nods* Come down here and get it, I'm not climbing up there

y/n: Hold on a bit then *You slowly make your way down, not wanting to fall* Now...Hand it over *You hold out your hand*

Cedric: *He look at you with the weirdest expression (not in a bad way) but return your sketchbook* Were you up there the entire time?

y/n: *You nod* I was feeling a little- *You stop, why are you telling him? Why do you want to tell him? You barely know each other*

Cedric: A little..? Are you okay? *His expression are genuine concerns* You can tell me

y/n: ...lonely *You finish* I never had anyone to talk to or to hang around with. In the Great Hall, Cho and her group of friends just make me feel even lonelier *It was the half-truth*

Cedric: If you want....You can come be lonely with me

y/n: Huh? That doesn't make any sense, you are one of the most popular boy in Hogwarts

Cedric: It's just a uhm *Thinking* saying. What I am trying to say is that if you feel lonely, you can come talk to me

y/n: I- *You smile* Thank you

Cedric: Are you going to go back to your dormitory? It's getting quite late.

y/n: I probably should *You walk away*

Cedric: Wait!

y/n: *Turning around* Hm?

Cedric: Goodnight

y/n: *You smile again* Goodnight to you too

*The next couple of days passed quickly now that you have Cedric's company. It's not like you stick with him 24/7 but you help each other with homework and tends to sit with each other more often in classes. You normally help him with Transfiguration and he would help you with Charms. You prefer talking to him alone than with his friends around but that is absolutely impossible due to his popularity, therefore, you tend to meet him at night. That's when you would just sit with each other and catch up on stuff. You find yourself opening up a bit more and he sometimes would tell you about his personal life. Other times, instead of talking, you might help him practice spells since he miss some lessons because of photoshoots for the Triwizard Tournament. Currently, you are walking slowly to where the first task is taking place. You can hear the dragons' ferocious roar. Before going to the stand, you decide to see Cedric first. You spot the Champions' tent. It is set up near the stand. You walk carefully towards it, you don't want to attract a teacher's attention. By the tent's entrance, you stop. Should you go in? What if there's a teacher in there? You don't want to get in trouble. Finally, you agree to just poke your head in quickly and that is exactly what you did. You scan the tent. Krum is just standing in a corner, his face looks blank. Fleur is sitting on a small stool, from her expression, she's anxious and you couldn't blame her and Cedric is just pacing back and forth. Harry isn't here yet. Luckily, there's nobody else there apart from the champions. You want to go in and wish Cedric good luck but that is just awkward. However, if you don't wish him good luck, you'll feel terrible. I mean who doesn't wish their friend luck before they do something so freaky as this. While you are debating this in your head, Fleur spots you.*
