Chapter 7

Ron: Just tell me

Harry: You know who y/n is right?

Ron: y/n? The girl Cedric is dating?

Harry: *Harry grimace at Cedric's name but nods nonetheless*

Ron: What about her? *Harry fall silent* Wait-

Harry: I don't want it to sound weird..

Ron: You like her don't you?

Harry: No? Maybe? I don't know

Ron: Harry, she's so much older than you *He emphasise on the word 'so'* but she's pretty,

Harry: Not just pretty, she's smart and kind too

Ron: *Throwing a pillow at Harry's face* What's gotten into you?

(Cho's perspective)

*She's sitting by a desk at the Ravenclaw's common room. Why haven't she heard anything from Harry? She could've sworn he liked her. Not that she cares, obviously, but she feels rather lonely from the lack of attention. Ever since Cedric started dating that pathetic y/n, she's been relying on Harry to give her the attention she desire. She peer out the window to see y/n standing near the lake, all by herself. Cho quickly stand up and run out the common room, a plan forming in her head.*

(y/n's perspective)

*You like it by the lake, the calming sound of water sloshing every now and then helps with your worries. You suddenly hear footsteps behind you.*

y/n: *Turning around* Hello? *Since it was dark, you couldn't quite make out who or what is there but before your eyes can register, a force push you into the lake.*

*You let out a loud shriek before plunging into the water. You wave your arms frantically, your eyes unable to open underwater. As a child, swimming was just a skill you can never master. Forcing your eyes to open, you can only make out the faint light of the moon above the lake. You kick your legs hopelessly. You know you can't make it as you inhale water. Your nose sting and your vision blurs. Slowly, your arms and legs feels weak and heavy. As you sink, your head feels heavy. So this is it huh? Drowning in the lake where nobody can find me. You close your eyes, unable to keep them open any longer, accepting defeat. Then an arm wrap tightly around your waist and begin pulling you up to the surface. The moment your head emerge above the water surface, you start coughing. This person help you over to shore where you lay down*

y/n: T-Th-Thank you *You manage two words before losing consciousness*

*You open your eyes to find yourself in the hospital wings. You look around to find that it's dark outside still. That's when you notice someone sleeping against the wall near you. His hair drench as he sit in a rather uncomfortable position on the stool beside your bed*

y/n: Harry?

Harry: *He jolts awake* y/n! How are you feeling?

y/n: Honestly? A bit shaken up from what happened, did you save me?

Harry: Yeah, how did you end up in the lake? You weren't trying to commit suicide were you?!

y/n: NO! I think someone push me in *You rub your right temple*

Harry: Who? *He looks frustrated, clearly angry at whoever have done this* I can take them on for you if you like. I've beaten a Hungarian Horntail so this wouldn't be too hard

y/n: I don't know who did it *You sigh* Also, how did you know I was drowning?

Harry: I couldn't sleep so I decide to visit Hagrid only to hear a shriek as I make my way over to Hagrid's hut

y/n: Well thank you for saving my life

Harry: I'm glad I got there in time

y/n: What time is it?

Harry: Nearly dawn, you should rest anyway

y/n: *You yawn* Probably for the best. Also, Harry?

Harry: Yeah?

y/n: You should get going *You move your head on the pillow, trying to find a comfortable position. Harry stands up and murmurs 'goodbye' before leaving you*

(Cho's perspective)

*It must be midday by now. Cho is walking down the corridor, happy when she sees Cedric without that stupid y/n*

Cho: Cedric! *She runs over to him*

Cedric: Hey...*He trails off, distractedly, looking around for y/n*

Cho: How have you been? *He doesn't reply* Cedric!

Cedric: *He looks at her with a 'Shut up' expression before rushing down the hallway*

Cho: Cedric! *She run after him, grabbing his hand with hers*

Cedric: *He shakes off her hand and turn to her with an irritated frown* What do you want? And make it quick, I need to go

Cho: *Her lips part slightly, shocked at his rude attitude. Cedric have never been a rude guy* Uhm..I-

Cedric: *He turns around and about to leave when Cho grab his arm and pulls him towards her* Chang! Let go of me! *She steps back, not only had he used her last name but he have also said it in a very annoyed and stern voice*

*It happens all very fast, one moment they were standing there, Cedric glaring at her and the next he had push her away from him when she tried to force herself onto him, probably trying to kiss him.*

Cedric: What do you think you're doing?! Get away from me Chang or you will regret it *He looks like he is going to hit her but thought better of it and turn the opposite direction, marching away, fuming with anger*

*Cho feels like her heart just snapped in two as she stand there, staring at him like an idiot. Oh what have she done?! Tears are on the verge of spilling before she spin on her heel and run to the toilet.*

(y/n's perspective)

*It's been one or two day since your incident, you still aren't allow to leave the Hospital Wing because you have develop a bad fever. You normally feel lonely, since you've now gotten used to Cedric's company. He does visit but just not often due to his prefect duties and the amount of homework he's receiving. When you hear the Hospital Wing's door open, you look up hopefully. To your dismay, it's Cho. Oh no, what does she want now? Cho make her way over to you with a funny expression on her face*

y/n: What do you want?

Cho: I just want t-t-to say *She swallows, herbreath shaky* I'm sorry
