○Chapter 24○ The Prodigy

No, I will stay here," I replied with my usual emotionless tone. He sighed and walked over to me. What is he going to do now?

Day by day, I found myself curious over what he did and why he did it. It was strange as I did not think I would ever feel again, it was strange, like I was a baby learning how to walk again.

He grabbed my hand and dragged me to the ocean. "Come on!"

"No, I can't," I tried to tell him, but he ignored me and brought me closer and closer to the sea. When I stepped in, the cold water was both chilly and comfy under the scorching sun. Slowly and carefully I dipped into the sea water.

All of a sudden, I got splashed with a wave of cold water in the face. I wiped my face and glared intensely at the male who was laughing away. Out of anger, I splashed back at him. He turned his back on me to avoid the water from getting onto his face.

How annoying... I sighed as I admitted defeat. I can't win against someone practically a head taller than me and with such a broad back.

"You gave up? Aww, and it felt so nice," he teased and turned around, splashing a wave of water at me. The cold water tickled my skin, sending chills down my spine. I ran away from him deeper and deeper from the water.

"Yuriko-chan! Be careful! It gets pretty deep from then-" He was too late. I could no longer touch the ground and I was struggling to stay afloat.

He quickly swam towards me and carried me out of the water, laying me on the sand as I coughed out the water.

"You cannot swim?" He asked and I nodded.

"Sorry, I didn't know..." He replied.

"It's okay, it's no big deal," I sighed.

"How is it not a big deal? You could have died!" He exclaimed angrily.

"... But I didn't," I replied.

"Still..."

"I didn't die, so let's go already..." I sighed as I got up and took my stuff. Then he grabbed my hand and said, "The day has only just begun! Next we shall watch a movie!"

"Wait, what?"

He had brought me to watch Ice Princess, a show we both starred in. He was staring as Elijah and I was Elizabeth.

"Why are we watching this? We already know how it all looks like and how the story flows," I asked.

"It is a different experience in a theater," he replied.

"I guess it is... I get to spot mistakes in the show so I can make sure they do not happen again in an audience's perspective..." I agreed.

"I guess, you can put it that way too," he replied nervously.

After the movie, I spotted about fifty mistakes I have to make sure does not happen in the sequel as we were walking back home, I listed them all out for Aine, and he did not seem to bored, he was actually listening attentively.

When we got home, he asked me one question and that was. "Did you have fun today?"

"It was not bad, but I guess it was fun..." I replied and gave a small smile.

"Kawaii..." He muttered.

"E-Eh?"

"Nothing..." He blushed and waved goodbye. "See you tomorrow..."

"See you tomorrow..." I waved goodbye as well and entered the house.

"So... How was it Yuri-nee? Eh? Are you blushing?" Yumi asked.
