“I got that part, but why do I need these?” You push your question back onto the table, specifying it this time. "They'll come in handy, trust me" Bobo says, which is not exactly an answer..
"I'll tell you more but we seriously gotta go, we don't have time to spare" He offers you his hand, you take it and he helps you get up.
“Why don't we have time? I mean, I know there's things out there but is that really affecting how long we have to be out?”
"It is, actually! The nextbots won't be lurking out there for about an hour- though it's less than an hour now" He said matter of factly while pulling you through the hologram looking things, pausing to lift the garage door so you both can pass under it.
When passing through it, you were met with a bit of resistance, the hexagonal pattern briefly becoming opaque.
‘It's a bit odd that they're using the garage as a point of entrance.’
‘Why not use the front door?’ Then you remember how YOUR front door got broken into.. wait, what? What door? Nevermind then, you can't remember why you remember seeing a broken door let alone assuming it belonged to you.
You feel like you're forgetting something.. oh yeah, time, that's relevant. “Speaking of time, what time is it right now?” You ask upon getting reminded of your previous thoughts.
Bobo seems to think for a second, it doesn't look like he has a watch from what you can see. His grip on your hand loosens slightly, because yeah, he's pulling you along since you didn't let go after he helped you up.
(I don't think he thinks you're capable of doing much physical work after he saw you on the brink of death barely an hour ago)
"It's some time past 11:00. Ah.. normally it's Jard carrying the clock, I don't have it on me" He shrugs, his hand resuming it's normal grip on yours.
By the way, in your opinion his hand is basically lifeless, not warm, not even cold. Actually— sure, it's.. relatively warm (if you focused on it hard enough), but that's probably because of your own body heat.
‘Uncanny.’ Is the word that crossed your mind. You decide to let go, he shifts his hand to your wrist instead so he can still guide you to wherever he is going.
It began to become quiet between you two, which wasn't exactly preferable right now because then it would get awkward. So what do you do? Ask about stuff!
Beginning, “Hey.. uh, Bobo? I have a question.” you say, successfully regaining his attention. "Huh? What is it?" He responds.
“That thing- by the entrance of the garage, what is it?”
"Thing? What thing?" Bobo looks at you, tilting his head slightly as if to make you specify. Actually, not 'as if', he IS asking for a better description to know what you're talking about.
“The blue things that we passed through to enter and exit” You held your hands up to vaguely gesture the two rods the object had. Lucky for you, he catches on. "Ohh the barriers..?"
“That's what they're called?”
"Yea! They supposedly block the nextbots, it's a forcefield basically"
Nextbots, huh? You're just going to pretend you knew they were called that and not that you've referred to them as just bots.
“And you're sure they work?” You pry, honestly doubting it—because you're still sure it's a hologram given how you were able to pass through it.
"I know they work!" He exclaims as he looks at you like you said something funny. You need more answers– to know things, to figure out more .. so you push further. “Really? How come?”
