Chapter 2 :Day two

Alastor: "If you let me see the rest of your wounds you can have this toy duck"

Lucifer: "Really, wait I will agree if you promise not to drug me ever again"

Alastor: "Promise"

Lucifer lowered his wings, and Alastor told him to check his horns and tail for damage. Lucifer muttered before removing his horns and tail. Alastor approached Lucifer and caressed his horns, surprising him. After inspecting the wings and tail, Alastor desired to explore Lucifer's torso. He noticed several wounds on Lucifer's body, including test marks, electric shocks, bruises, and scars. After a few minutes of checking, music started playing from above, similar to what you'd hear at a doctor's office.

Alastor: "What kind of music is this"

Lucifer:" Who knows they just believe if you play any song it will calm us down, "

Alastor: "Yes, really any music couldn't they choose jazz or sway"

Lucifer: "Agree, now give me the duck, human"

Alastor: "Here"

He threw the duck towards Lucifer, but before leaving the room he said.

Alastor: "My name is Alastor not human"

After Alastor shut the door, Lucifer stuck out his tongue and set the plate of food in the corner of the room. He then reclined in his position, holding the toy duck near to him. His wings curled around him as if he were guarding something valuable, which he was because it was the first gift he had ever gotten from anyone. Even though he had to make a trade for it, it remained meaningful to him. Looking at the duck in his hands, he wondered if his daughter was okay, living, and eating well. Several questions regarding his daughter sprang into his thoughts. Alastor entered Charlie's room and found her sketching on the floor. She saw him and hurried over to hug his leg.

Charlie: "You came back"

Alastor: "Yes I did"

Charlie: "Wait I have to give you a gift"

Alastor: "A gift"

She ran over to the area she was drawing picked up the paper and gave it to him.

Charlie: "Here"

He sees a drawing of the two of them playing with flowers and a rainbow in the background.

Charlie: " Do you like it"

Alastor: "Yes I do, thank you"

Charlie: "You're welcome, I'm glad you liked it"

As he stood there, she approached him with her arms up, clearly indicating that she wanted him to take her up. He agreed, and she hugged him, beaming. However, she quickly proceeded to sniff him, leaving him feeling a little bewildered as to why she was doing it.

Alastor: "Do I smell weird"

Charlie: "Your scent is different"

Alastor: "My scent"

Charlie: "Yeah, you smell like Papa"

It was possibly because he got so near to Lucifer while ministering to his injuries. She also recalls Lucifer saying it had been three years since they last saw one other.

Charlie: "You know where Papa is"

Alastor: "Wait you remember your father"

Charlie: "No but I remember papas' scent, can you take me to Papa"

Alastor:" I can't do that unless I get permission"

Charlie: "Oh'

Alastor: "How about we play the tea party game, you love that game"

Charlie: "Yeah"

After a few hours of playing, Alastor needed to check on Lucifer before returning home. He hoped that Charlie would forget about the aroma and Lucifer. He stood up to say goodbye to Charlie as he was nearing the end of his testing, but she grabbed his lab coat before he could go.

Charlie: "Mister, I know you won't tell me where he is, but is he okay": She had tears in her eyes now, Alastor knelt and gently wiped away her tears

Alastor:" "he's fine so don't worry,"

As she said her goodbyes, she smiled at him. He then unlocked the door to Lucifer's room and discovered him playing with a duck. When Lucifer observed Alastor watching him play, he hurriedly hid the duck and went to the side, attempting to hide the fact that his cheeks had grown crimson with embarrassment.

Alastor: "Having fun with your toy"

Lucifer cleared his throat before asking,"'So, what brings you back?'

Alastor: "Well since I know you just went through testing, I came to check on your wounds again"

Lucifer: "Oh right"

Alastor knelt next to Lucifer and began bandaging his wounds. However, Lucifer detected an odd fragrance emerging from Alastor and continued to sniff him until he identified it. Lucifer's eyes grew fiery, and he violently threw Alastor to the ground, grasping his wrists.

Lucifer: "Why does your scent, smell like my baby girl, did you harm her cause if you did I don't mind killing you right here and right now"

Alastor: "Well I am in charge of watching her and she's fine"

Lucifer gazed into Alastor's eyes and saw no fear; his emotions indicated he was truthful: "How come you never said anything"

Alastor: "It's not my job to spill that information, specifically to rude patients "

Lucifer: "Then, why

Alastor:" Well I don't feel like dying and you can feel my emotions so you can always tell if I was lying so I told you the truth"

Lucifer: "True, so she's okay"

Alastor: "She's fine, so can you get off me now,  so that I can finish my job"

Lucifer: "Fine"

Alastor had finished bandaging Lucifer and was about to go. Lucifer dismounted Alastor and took hold of his coat. This bothered Alastor. Following that, Lucifer removed his coat and treated the injury on his wrist.

Lucifer: "I'm sorry"

Alastor: "What was that"

Lucifer: "I said, I'm sorry, can you leave now"

Alastor: "Fine, I'm leaving, but you should eat to conserve your energy or do you want me to watch you like a Child so you can eat "

Lucifer's face turn bright red again: "Oh shut up and leave"

When Alastor saw how nervous and embarrassed Lucifer was, he grinned and exited the room. He was tempted to tease him further and see what other responses he might elicit. However, Alastor was aware that Lilith had hired him for a mission, and he needed to remain focused on that objective. Nevertheless, he could have some fun while performing his job.

As the human walked away, Lucifer grabbed up the platter and started devouring the bread. He grinned, happy that his daughter was alive and well. However, he couldn't help but be concerned about her inheriting his power and the potential consequences.
