'I'm really sorry Inosuke. I understand if you're feeling lonely now, but mommy's trying her best to be both parents and protect you in daddy's place. There are lives that can be replaced. But remember this Inosuke, your mom will always protect you.'

"I do remember her changing the lyrics so many times. It soon then became a song for a Tanuki village. So, adorable it was."

'That numerous amounts of pinky promise, I saw in Shinobu!' Inosuke realized. 'But it wasn't really her.'

"My intention wasn't to eat her." Doma continued. "I was going to let her live by my side until her final years. But unfortunately, your mother... Kotoha wasn't able to turn a blind eye. She was indeed sharp. She saw as I was eating my worshippers. And even after explaining my all my beliefs, she could understand my value on life. The insult she spurred out were mind baffling. Saying that how I spoke nothing but lies. And out of fear she fled from my temple and ran."

(Flashback)

Kotoha continued running through the forest holding the baby Inosuke. "I'm sorry Inosuke! Mommy's so stupid. I always make mistakes, and you have to pay for them. As your mother I had to keep it together, and yet..." It was at that point that Kotoha came across a cliff. "No. Not again! I can't find the road is. Where's the village? I'm sorry. I'm really sorry... I only bring disaster around you. And now the two of us are going to be killed. But at the very least, Inosuke has a... I love you Inosuke. Mommy will always love you." And with that, Kotoha drops Inosuke down the cliff as the infant watches her getting killed by Doma.

"It was false hope to think that you save him by dropping him off this cliff. But you always were stupid in your last breaths." He then speaks to the falling Inosuke. "How shameful. To die because of a last resort your mother made. So sad."

(Flashback ends)

Inosuke was in a state of confusion that his thoughts were scattered. 'My... mother... was killed that night...'

Doma still kept blabbering about Kotoha. "And when she died, I ate her until she was nothing more than a pile of bones. If she'd return home, her husband and his mother would still hurt her. And if we shut her out, she would be dead in an alley with you. A young mother who couldn't provide for you was beyond pathetic. Kotoha's life was full of misfortune, that I didn't see her happy once. Her being was nothing more but pointless."

"Stop talking to him like that, you bastard!" Tanjiro shouted. "It doesn't matter how unfortunate a life is! It still matters if you're surrounded by those you live!"

"Very funny! My entire I was sheltered in that temple, and I believed it was luxury. And those who felt the real-world crashing on them I see them as pathetic. It's almost like my friend's perspective on the weak, right Lord Akaza?"

Akaza only twitched a vain giving Doma a disapproved look. 

Everything eventually came back to Inosuke. 'You're so adorable, Inosuke. What tiny hands. You're so warm. My treasure, my love. Being with you is enough of a blessing.'

"Y'know, it's indeed a fateful miracle, meeting you here and now." Inosuke said calmly before turning into complete rage. "The very demon who killed my mother and hurt my friends is right in front of me!! Thanks for helping me remember who I come from. But now I won't just cut off that thing you call a head! I'll show you what true hell is like!!!"
