Chapter 5

"I know that talking with you would be useless as if even after so many years you did not change then we cannot do anything other than ignore your foolish comments. I don't care about what you think, do, or say anymore as I have changed for my good. I will not tolerate your insults anymore from this moment and the relationship between Abhi and Abheera is something people like you would never be able to understand. Abhi decided to raise Abheera as his daughter. He decided to leave you and Ruhi. I never forced him, but I was and always will be thankful to him as without each other we wouldn't be here today. I don't care if you still blame me for the deaths of Neil and Arohi because my own family thinks that I am happy after Arohi's death even after knowing how much she meant to me since our childhood." Akshara said in a confident and emotionless tone while looking into the eyes of Manjiri and the Goenka's. 

"How dare you talk to me like that Akshara!", she says as she raises her hand to slap Akshu, but her hand is caught by someone. (Guess before reading)

A/n P.O.V

Her hand was caught by Naksh (Clapping for everyone who guessed it right 👏🏻👌🏻) who looked at her with anger. 

"How dare you try to hit my niece?", he asked as he tightened his hold on her hand before leaving it. 

"Mamu what are you doing here?", Akshu asked shocked to see him. 

"How could we miss our Hera's birthday?", Naksh said as he hugged her and then proceeded to greet everyone he knew. After wishing Abheera he turned and glared at the Gorillas. 

Manish who came to his senses asked him, "Naksh beta, what are you doing here? Where are Kirti and Krish?"

"Oh, please drop the caring act, Mr. Manish Goenka. I am tired of your fake concern. We had long broken the relations when you guys decided to abandon Akshu after the death of Sirat. I, my wife and children are nothing but strangers to you.", Naksh said while controlling himself from shouting at Manish. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder and saw his wife, Kirti. Behind her stood Krish and his wife and son. 

After seeing Kirti, Manish and Suvarna tried to get close to her, but she just stepped back with a disappointed and tired look on her face while Krish just ignored them and greeted Akshu with a tight hug. 

"Kirti my child how are-", Surekha asked.

"Please drop the act Chachi we all know that you are faking it.", Kirti said without hesitation. Surekha just made a face.  

"Kirti, have you forgotten your manners?", said Suvarna. 

"I don't need someone like you to tell me about manners after all the things you have done."

"Kirti, behave you are talking to your family!"

"You all are nothing but strangers to me after all the things my Akshu had to face because of your stupid decisions." 

"How dare you blame your parents because of someone else's mistakes!", said Manjiri. 

"This is between my wife and the Goenka's, so you better not interfere again if you don't want me to show you how to keep quiet.", Naksh told her in a cold and dangerous tone. Manjiri just decided to keep quiet. 

"Why are you blaming us for something we never did?", Surekha asked acting clueless. 

"YES! We are blaming you for the things you never did for Akshara. You always treated her like trash and then used her forgiving nature to make her forgive you. You let Arohi blame her for Sirat's death and sent her away when she needed you after losing her parents, why did you not think about Akshu's feelings? Then years later when she returned you still let Arohi try to ruin her life and kept ignoring her feelings and she kept making sacrifices to keep your family, which led her to lose her child and husband and be blamed by everyone else once again.  Then after years when she returned you guys still did not care for her and then in the end blamed her for Arohi's death. That was the last nail in the coffin for her and us.", Kirti said as tears escaped her eyes as she expressed her disappointment and anger to them, Naksh kept a hand on her shoulder to support her.

"We were and always will be sorry to Akshu as we were not able to be there for her when she needed us the most. I know that Naira must have been so disappointed in me for not protecting her daughter and for not giving her the life she deserved but I know that both she and Kartik would be ashamed of themselves for leaving their kids with you guys who just destroyed their lives. I am sorry my princess.", Naksh said while controlling his tears. 

Akshu immediately hugged Naksh and kept telling him that was not his fault and then she turned towards The Goenka's and said, "It was not your fault Mamu, I know that you thought that my parents entrusted me in their hands thinking that they would be able to take care of me but the only thing they did was give me traumas, sadness, guilt, and emptiness of being a child without parents. Today I want to finally question you guys if my parents were alive today, would they raise and treat me the same way you guys did?"

She continued, "Ever since the day I lost Papa and Sirat maa you all just neglected me and did not do anything when Arohi made me feel guilty and blamed me for Sirat maa's death. I forgave her as she was still a child but what did you guys do other than doing nothing but telling me to forgive her and then finally doing what you always did send me away? Did you not think that I too was a child who had not only found days ago the truth about my Mumma and was still coping with it when I lost Papa and Sirat maa too? But instead of comforting me you all just abandoned me." 

"Then again when Arohi died you guys did the same, abandoned me again. Anyway, now I have had enough of this drama. If you guys want to stay in our resort, then you would have to stay away from my husband and kids. Ms. Jindal, I warn you that if you even tried to hurt my kids or talk dirty about my daughter then I would not hesitate to throw you out. I also apologize to the Poddar family for the disturbances and wish that we get to know each other better. Abhi let's go home already." she said using a warning and professional tone. 

Then Abhira along with their children, the Singhania's and Kairav's family left to go to the 'A' mansion.
