In revenge, the beast bit into the neck of the skull monster that had attacked him, slamming the bastard's spine hard against a huge rock, making a wet thud. Upon doing so, the big, lizard-like monster was paralyzed by the violent attack and went limp, its limbs hanging from its unmoving body. Not caring to ease the monster's suffering, the beast released the bleeding neck from his bloody mouth, let the conscious body drop to the ground, and looked down at himself. Looking at his shin, he noticed that the large, long, deep gash from the fight was not healing easily, and he let out a low, quiet growl before turning to face the skull monster. He then made a shuddering, regurgitating sound in his throat, struggling to cough, before quickly ducking down and spewing boiling, hot blood all over his foe's body, mainly its skull. The beast felt his throat burn with hot blood, and as he vomited more, he heard the sound of the skull monster's rotting body melting into red mush along with bits of ribs and blood.

The beast rose to his feet after having spat out what was possibly left, then fell silent as he watched the skull monster completely disintegrate. Its quiet gurgles and cries of pain were not heard completely, and that caused him to tilt his head like a confused animal. Afterwards, he let out a low, gurgling growl and quickly spat out a few left-over blood clots from his throat. As he struggled with his throat pain and throbbing shin, he sensed another monster in the mountains about to attack, but it didn't seem to be like the skull monsters he had fought before. Perhaps it was another monster he didn't want to know anything about—something that carried an aura of overwhelming danger and dominance. With his new objective being to leave the island without being harmed any further, he looked back to where he could smell the ocean the most and began to stagger towards it, trying not to put too much strain on his injured shin, but before he had gone at least halfway to the shore, he heard a loud roar behind him, and then, unexpectedly...

BAM!

A giant landed two punches on the beast's back, sending him staggering forward and almost tripping with a loud cry of pain. He was hit in the back again, with hot blood spurting from his dorsal plates and mouth. Due to the powerful attacks dealt to him, he groaned in agony and turned around, but this time he was hit in the lower jaw and felt it loosen. Surprised by the giant and nearly losing consciousness from the intense throbbing pain, his body collapsed to the grass along with the other several skull monsters he had killed, red hot liquid spilling from his mouth. He raised his head and gurgled, but the fist met his face, and more blood spurted all around. The same hand that had been punching him now gripped his throat and pulled him close, revealing the giant's furious face and a large scar running down his chest.

The giant roared at him, revealing large canine teeth in his mouth. Blood dripped all over the battered beast's face, and his lower jaw felt like it was about to drop. He barely responded, only gurgling lowly as red drool dribbled from his destroyed mouth. He had no idea how to communicate with the giant who was strangling him; he wondered if he was speaking a language he didn't understand. For a moment, in a pathetic attempt to be let go, he used his small, useless arms to try and grab the giant's hands and remove them from his throat, but another blow was sent into his face. He was then freed from the giant's grasp and laid on the ground again, his bloodied face almost unrecognizable. The beast was unable to ignore the excruciating pain that spread across his face and mouth, and he felt a throbbing of more blood spurting out of him—more than he could bear.

As his vision began to narrow with excruciating throbbing pain, the beast collapsed to the ground in defeat, hot liquid pooling on either side of his face, his "corpse" lying next to the carcasses of the skull monsters he had murdered earlier. After beating the island's invader to death, the giant sighed quietly and wiped the blood from his hands, his expression showing seriousness. Without making a sound, he stared at the bloody corpse with his brown eyes, blinked, then turned and walked away, intending to sleep on the branch of a large tree he found because it was more comfortable there. Before he could make it to where he intended to be, the giant yawned lightly and couldn't help but sense something strange about his opponent behind him.
