"He found his happiness in you, Yuvika, and I couldn't fathom anything that would take his happiness away,"she confessed and frowned at her words.

What was she even saying? I wondered but I didn't interupped her as she continued.

" He raised his self yuvika. His parents were too busy to look after him. he had no real childhood. He missed out on he innocence and playfulness of youth. Despite this, he embraced maturity so that his siblings wouldn't have to endure the same hardships. He took on the role of caregiver, always available to lend a helping hand to those around him. He didn't wait to be asked for assistance but offered it willingly, despite never receiving the same support himself. His desire to spare his family the suffering and hardships he went through alone drove him to be devoted to them, especially his brother. He sacrificed his own needs and desires to ensure their well-being and happiness. He gave up on everything because his brother doesn't have too" She said those words, and my heart clenched. I closed my eyes, unsure of what to feel. Despite my uncertainty, I dared to ask again

"Didn't his father love him?" I questioned, because I knew he did. Rivaan had told me once that his father loved them.

"He did," she answered.

"But is love ever enough on its own?" she said, and I looked at her, trying to
understand. Before I could ask what she meant. The car stopped and the driver announced that we had arrived as bua got off from the car. And I followed her behind. I looked at her. With wide eyes seeing the place.

"Didn't we come here to see your friend, bua?" I asked, noticing her tense expression.

"She works at this hospital, Yuvika," she replied with a chuckle, and I couldn't help but shake my head. As we approached the hospital doors, I confronted her.

"You lied again," I stated firmly, and she turned to face me.

"It's for you and Viraj's well-being, Yuvika. Can't you see that?" she pleaded, frustration evident in her voice. I couldn't help but laugh.

"We know what's best for us, bua" I replied, standing my ground as her gaze bore into me.

"It's just a routine check-up. What's the harm in that?" she asked, her tone softer now. I closed my eyes, feeling exasperated.

Why did I have to justify myself to her?

Why did she have to meddle in my life like this? Why do I have to prove anything to her?

"Why are you so insistent on this, Yuvika, if everything's fine?" she pressed, her eyes searching mine. I finally met her gaze.

"I don't understand why you're so fixated on getting me checked out. Instead, you should just ask Viraj and me if we're ready to start a family. It's none of your business," I retorted, my anger boiling over.

" Abhisha " We heard a voice interrupting us. We turned towards the source of the voice. A lady made her way towards us. Wearing a cotton saree as she hugged bua as they talked something among them as her attention towards us.

" Ah and she must be your pretty daughter in law, '' she uttered as she hugged me. And awkwardly wrapped around us.

" I'm doctor Nandita, come on, let's go inside. My break is just over " She said I smiled at her tucking my hairs behind my ears. I Followed her having no other options.

My nostrils were attacked by the sickly smell of saline and the distinct metallic aftertaste of blood in the hospital hallway. Suppressing a grimace, I followed Dr. Nandita down the corridor to her cabin. I sat there feeling a little uncomfortable as they talked casually like old friends.
