"Jim? I know you're in there, open the door this instant." I firmly demand.
"So you can get your magic back. That's all you care about" I hear my brother raise his voice. He's talking with Merlin. What has that old man done now?
"What are you doing?" Merlin asks with a puzzled angry tone.
"Texting Toby to meet me at the canals. If my Mom is in Trollmarket, we're getting her out!" Jim retorts as he uses his phone.
My Mom is in Troll market!? And it seems like Merlin is against the idea of looking for her. Typical. No way I'm leaving my mother in that hell with Gunmar on the loose. I decided to go in through the back door as they seemed to not have heard me and that way I have a back way to whatever is going on.
The sounds of things falling and glass breaking alert me to face them faster. What on earth is wrong with Merlin, attacking his Trollhunter? This man truly is something.
"What kind of man are you to stop me from saving my own mother!?" Jim yells after taking a blow from Merlin.
"An incredibly selfish one," I state holding my staff as I pound it on the floor to get their attention. I look at Merlin with anger as my eyes thin out into a harsh glare.
"Aza!" my brother yells while holding on to the entry way table. Merlin is really not holding back.
"Actually, I am a man who has seen centuries. You aren't old enough to understand." Merlin looks firmly at Jim and turns to look directly at me.
"And you young lady can stay where you are." he flicks his wrist at me and I find myself unable to move, every bone in my body has turned compliant and my rage starts to turn red. This is ridiculous! I try to fight his spell.
Jim goes to attack him. Their swords clash and they push each other back. Merlin seems to barely move when he trips Jim making him go face first onto the floor, causing Daylight to disappear. Jim books it to the door.
"Jim watch out!" I warn.
Im still trying to fight the command Merlin has given me. Merlin stops Jim from running out the door by throwing the sword he once held in his hands, throwing Jim back also. How dare he treat my brother, his Trollhunter like this.
Jim tries to attack Merlin again with Daylight but fails once Merlin pins his right arm behind him and pushes him harshly into the living room coffee table.
"I was battling evil when the world was still young." Merlin states.
"Stop trying to hurt my brother Merlin, you're going against your own self interest!" I yell hoping I get through his old stubborn head. He ignores me and makes his way to Jim. While stepping out of my line of view. The TV turns on and I hear Jim throw something at Merlin but I assume he catches said object as he doesn't make a sound in pain. And I hear a clank to the floor and what sounds like armor being crushed.
"If you can't defeat me, what hope do you have of defeating Gunmar?" he speaks to Jim.
"I thought you said I had a choice?" Jim refutes. He sounds like he's snuggling with Merlin. This is so stupid. Im supposed to protect Jim at any cost and I can't even break this pausing spell?! My heart beats quicker. I guess when merlin gave me the task of helping and protecting his Trollhunters, he didn't mean from him.
"Not a choice whether to fight, but how to fight." Merlin contradicts. The sounds of Jim struggling makes my blood boil. I hear a loud crash into the kitchen, indicating that Merlin must have thrown him. That son of a bit- urgh.
"The Changeling triend to teach you, but you're too young and foolish to learn." Merlin says. Clearly he doesn't know of all the things Jim has accomplished. 'All seeing wisdom' my ass.
