"Where's Garaboski?" Maya asked after the class had waited for their old english teacher to arrive to class.

Anessa liked Mr Garaboski, he was sweet. Kind of. He was sweet to her at least. She used to like hearing his stories of life back at home before he came to the states. He would always give her A+'s so he was okay in her books. Plus, he would always pick on Maya so he definitely got bonus points from her.

"Uh-oh?"

"Did we do it?"

"Did we finally break him?"

Mr Matthews walked in, holding a letter in his hand. "You broke in!" He confirmed, causing the whole class to cheer.

Mr Matthews was definitely...a character to Anessa. He was annoying most of the time since he would only seem to care about Riley and her friends which Anessa hated. She liked learning things by the book. The normal way. But, Mr Matthews was unaware of 'the normal way'.

"Mr Garaboski retired yesterday." Mr Matthews continued causing everyone to cheer yet again. "Quiet! The guy survives Vietnam and Mrs Garaboski and he can't get past you."

"Wait, he didn't even give me back my latest essay." Anessa frowned at the realisation that she wasted her time on an essay which will never be marked.

"You'll live." Maya turned around from the front with a sarcastic look on her face.

Anessa looked at her best friend, ignoring the blonde's words. "You hear an annoying buzz, Charlie?"

Charlie froze momentarily. He always seemed to get nervous whenever he would somehow be roped into Maya and Anessa's back and forth. "Uh, yeah. Bzzz." He mimicked the sound of a bee.

Anessa just looked at him blank faced and utterly confused. "What are you doing?"

"Oh no, that one really stung!" Maya said sarcastically, proud of herself for that joke. She then turned around, knowing she won that round.

"Dear you little-" Mr Matthews cut himself off when he saw just how many curse words there were. "Okay I can't read this." He closed the letter.

"He always talked about the good old days before 1985." Lucas stated, not feeling bad for the older man.

God did Anessa find Lucas boring. She didn't understand why most girls in their grade would gush over him. There was literally nothing special about him.

"What happened in 1985?" Riley asked her father.

"Just ask Maya. That raisin looked like she was about 30 back then." Anessa jabbed causing Charlie to snicker and Maya to roll her eyes.

"That was the year the New York board of education said you couldn't hit a kid with a ruler." Farkle answered for her.

Honestly, Farkle was the only person from that friend group that Anessa liked and wouldn't mind having a conversation with for longer than twenty seconds.

"Bored of education? I do believe I am." Maya grinned sarcastically causing the class to laugh.

"Well, now you're gonna need a new English teacher." Mr Matthews stated the obvious.

"That's okay, thanks." Maya replied 'politely' not seeing who was walking through the hall.

"Uh I don't know Maya. You may want to consider this one." Lucas warned her, slightly amused.

"Ladies and gentlemen. Please welcome, Ms Harper Burgess." Mr Matthews introduced her perfectly timed.

Harper walked into the room, head to toe in leather, holding her motorcycle helmet in her hands. Anessa's eyes widened at the sight of her. She was hot. So hot.
