"If I was not in the happiest relationship known to man, I would drag you behind that dumpster and give you the best orgasm of your life for this. Seriously, I am forever in your debt." Juliette said, making sure that her tone came out as serious as possible, that was the only way to sell the joke.

Jasmine blinked, letting out a shocked chuckle as she patted her arm, looking over at Shelby who only shrugged, rubbing across Juliette's back... Well, hopefully that had come across as funny externally as she had meant for it to be in her head, the last thing she wanted was to actually make Jasmine uncomfortable in any sort of way.

"Uh... Okay..." She seemed to take a moment more to work through it before she let out a long sigh. "That... Thank you, Jules." She said, and Juliette grinned, nodding.  She had no issue telling people something honest... Sometimes she was a little too honest, and this felt like one of those times but better too honest then not enough.

"Of course, no problem." Move on, change subject. "So... Where is this nerd fest?" She asked, earning her a flick to the ear.

Owi.

"Be nice." Shelby reminded her, and Juliette gasped, placing a hand over her chest in faux shock.

How could she be accused of having any sort of malice towards nerds when her two best friends were the biggest ones in the world?

"I am being nice! I love nerds." She patted Shelby's arm affectionately, giving her a wide smile.  She could play this quite easily in her favor, and that was exactly what she was planning to do. "Obviously." Shelby rolled her eyes, shoving her away.

Rude.

"You're the worst." Shelby said, and Juliette grinned, linking her arm with Shelby's.

"I know." Jasmine cleared her throat then, distracting from their faux argument with a kind smile as she gestured towards the doors.

Ah.  Nerd fest.  Right.

"And it's right in here, come on." She led them in, and Jasmine paused at the bottom of the stairs, making Juliette's heart drop... Fuck, had she done something wrong?  Shit.  "Can I sit with you guys?" Oh.

That made more sense.

"You're not like... Part of it?" Juliette asked, feeling stupid the second she asked the question before she looked over at Shelby, who looked just as confused as she was.  That was always comforting, she liked when the smart one also had no idea what the hell was happening.

"Well, I set it up but I'm in the crowd." Jasmine rocked back on her heels, looking between the two of them nervously, like she really thought that there was a chance in hell that either one of them was going to say no, which there wasn't. That would be fucking cruel. "So...?" She asked, and Shelby sighed, tapping at her chin as she pretended to ponder the very obvious answer to this question.

"Let me think about it..." Juliette smacked her arm softly. "Obviously you can sit with us, Jasmine." She said, her smile growing brilliantly across her face as she outstretched her hand towards Jasmine, who took it gleefully.

"Amazing." Juliette walked behind them, following them into an empty row near the back.

"These seats are surprisingly comfortable." Shelby said, and Jasmine nodded, sitting beside her.

Okay.  I'm beside Jasmine.  Cool.

"Right? I love this place." She said, and Juliette settled on the other side of Jasmine, resting against her for a moment before she remembered she wasn't Shelby and stiffened, moving away.
