Becky didn't deserve to be so mistreated by bastards who lacked empathy and talent. She deserved a lot better.

"Maybe Allison was type casting." She mumbled, and Juliette raised an eyebrow, cocking her head to the side as she let out an astonished laugh... She knew Becky wasn't stupid, but God, this might've been the closest she'd ever gotten to sounding like she was... And that wasn't something she liked out of her friend.

"Hello?" Becky looked over at her, eyes still not fully focusing on her... God, this was really getting in her head, that was no good. Don't worry, I'll get in there and dig it right out of you. "Fuck no." She said, and Becky frowned, looking at her with some confusion like she'd expected for Juliette to agree.

"But-." She cut her off, cupping her face to make sure that Becky was looking at her as she spoke. She wanted this to sink in, she needed her to fucking know that what she was saying was the truth.

"Your girlfriend's mother adores you the world over, she doesn't see you as a whore, she sees you as a lovely person who her kid is head over heels with. She sees you as a talented young woman who deserves the role that has been given to her. She does not see you as what Iris pretends that you are." She insisted, and Becky let out a bitter chuckle and shook her head, rubbing at the skin on her chin as she spoke.

"She's not pretending." Huh? "I was a whore for a while." She said, making eye contact with Juliette as she said it... God, that was... Why did she think that about herself? There was nothing wrong with having sex, she wasn't doing anything wrong, and Iris had no fucking right to pretend like she was.

"Are you saying that negatively?" She asked, and Becky snorted, giving her a look like it was obvious, which it was, she had just been hoping against hope that maybe Becky had just become very okay with the sexual side of herself and was reclaiming shit... No such luck.

"Obviously. That's not a positive thing when I say it about myself." She mumbled, and Juliette sighed, pressing a kiss to Becky's cheek before she pulled back to look at her again, seeing a surprised look on her face.

Good. That startled you out of it.

"Becks..." She saw the heartbreak in Becky's eyes, a reminder of the girl that she had been when they had reconnected, and it made her want to pull her into the tightest hug known to man, but she wanted to talk to her first. She wanted to make her feel better. "You were coping... That's not anything to be ashamed of." She said, and Becky frowned, clearly not agreeing with her.

"Hm." Oh, come on... "Some people think it is." That wasn't a good argument - people also thought that they were both going to hell for being in love with their partners, but that didn't make them right, why would the same bitches be right right now?

"Those people are stupid as hell, and you know it." She knew that Becky agreed with her on that, that was exactly what she would've said to Juliette in this situation but seemed to be floundering on it right now.

Becky looked at her with a frown, still leaning into her touch. This is an abnormal amount of time to be holding your face. Hello?

"But maybe they have a point." What? No, that was the dumbest thing that she had ever heard in her life, which was crazy considering how smart Becky was. She knew better than to believe that.

"If there is one thing that they do not have, it is a goddamn point, I promise you that." She insisted, and Becky sighed, looking away from her for a second, seeming lost again... No no, keep your eyes on me. Please.
