You had even found some enjoyment in watching your friends warming up for ballet before your classes, watching them twirl and spin.
You had also become fast friends with some other ballet students who were friends with Lilly and Amy, the girls who had switched over to ballet from ballroom dance.
Since the school was prestigious, it also had their pick at boys in ballet so the number of guys and girls was pretty balanced out. The boys in the class had less problems with you and your friends from ballroom dance visiting and chatting at their studio, with some exceptions.
Sadly the girls had more prejudice, thinking that ballroom dance was too harsh and not elegant enough to be called a real dance or art.
Many had been doing this since they could stand so they held the sport in very high esteem so you coulndt really blame them. You just felt regret since it made Lilly, Amy and the other girls who talked to you feel left out sometimes.
The most problematic one of those spoiled brats was Luciano, or Lou.
He was the golden boy of the dance studio and could do no wrong in the teachers or students eyes. The posh bastard always had an arrogant look in his eyes when he saw you coming to visit your friends and seemed to sneer everytime you looked in his direction.
The boy was Italian and apparently his parents were big shots in ballet, purebred so to say. He was despicable.
His haughty demeanor was felt in every one of his movements, even his streching. Regretfully he was always one of the first to arrive in class to strech and prepare for the class but left immediately when it ended.
Despite being a rude motherfucker , Lou was adored by everyone. Teachers and students aside, Lou had many fans that came to watch him practice. Luckily the dance academy had security which prohibited random people from wandering in and watching practice, but that didn't stop students from other studios in the academy to watch the practices.
Everytime Lou was stretching, at least a dozen other students were watching, girls and boys ,it didn't matter as long as it was Lou.
Being accepted in the "fanbase" was also hard since many girls had been hard-core fans for years and were reluctant to let new people in. So you had to withstand their death stares for a while before they let you into their gossip groups, which apparently, were filled with the juiciest tea ever, ranging from dating rumors of Lou or other students to absolutely unbelievable affair stories of teachers of the diffrent studios.
Regardless of Lou and his distasteful personality, you had to admit the boy was impressive, his build was lean and not bulky at all even though you could see muscle lining his body. His dancing was incredibly good and you knew ballet was incredibly demanding, the core strength and balance you had to have was immense.
His talent was unquestionable and you had to admit he worked hard for his skills, if the blisters and bruises were anything to go by, you had the same from practicing ballroom dance.
And as long as you could avoid the boy, you could admire his hard work and otherwise ignore him and his behavior. You were fine with that. But of course, life had other plans.
Your doom was revealed on an unsuspicious Thursday evening after practice.
Your teacher had just called you over after practice, saying she had something to discuss with you.
Unsuspecting, you walked right over and asked your teacher what was the matter.
You had a competition in 2 months so you thought it may have to do with it.
In fact, it *did* have to do with the competition, but not in the way you thought.
