Chapter Two: The Start Of Something Great

"Monkeys aren't that bad. And even if they were, we're talking about Monkey King. He's not your normal average monkey." MK said, trying to reassure his big sister.

"Yeah yeah whatever."

"You know it's awfully surprising that someone like our DJ is scared of anything. Let alone a little monkey." Tang said, still shocked by the recent revelation.

"I know right?! Just yesterday she beat up some robber that was trying to steal from us! And he was armed!"

DJ gives MK a look.

"So what? I'm not allowed to be afraid of anything because I beat up an armed robber?"

"That's not what I mean. DJ you're literally the strongest person I know personally. Sometimes I question if you're even human with the amount of strength you have. And you're scared of a monkey?"

"I told you I ain't scared!"

"Sure you aren't."

Tang clears his throat to gain attention.

"Well as fun and entertaining as this conversation is, Mk you know the deal. One story equals one bowl of free noodles."

"Coming right up! But how heavy do you think the mountain is? Compare to like-"

MK tries to grab the bowl but someone throws a spoon at him. It was Pigsy. Pigsy glared at them.

"Free noodles?!"

He takes the noodles.

"No one gets a free meal at Pigsy's! I'm not running a charity here, Tang!"

"Ah, but Pigsy. I was paying with wisdom." Tang said, trying to persuade Pigsy.

"Yeah? Well, wisdom don't pay the rent, you freeloader! And you!"

He points at MK.

"You've been slacking off all morning! I've got a dozen orders that need to go out, so quit slacking and get packing!"

"Yeah. I was about to take my break. So..."

"Break? Break?! There's no break in war! I need workers. Soldiers in the army of Pigsy's Noodles, home of the world's longest noodles. How else am I gonna expand my business into enemy territory?"

DJ chimes in to cool down Pigsy.

"Do you mean across the street? Because if so it's not that serious. We already know who the customers are coming back to so cool your jets pig man."

"My statement still stands. Now do me a favor and go with MK. We both know how easily distracted he can get."

"Whatever you say bossman."

"As for you"

Pigsy points to Tang.

"Where's my money?"

Pigsy cracks his knuckles and Tang begins sweating. He grabs the spoon to attack Tang. Tang tries running to escape Pigsy.

"GET BACK HERE COWARD!"

DJ grabs MK by the shoulder.

"You heard the boss. Let's get going."

"First one to the truck has to buy us ice cream!"

"Oh you're on!"

The two race to the truck while laughing. DJ manages to get to the truck first.

"And DJ takes the win ladies and gents!"

MK pouts.

"No fair! You have longer legs!"

"It's not just that I've got longer legs, it's that I actually take time out of my day to train my leg muscles instead of being a lazy couch potato like somebody else I know. But the fact of the matter is, is that you owe me ice cream champ."

"Fine. But I swear I'm gonna beat you next time!"

DJ rolled her eyes before getting in the van.

"Whatever you say MK. Now get your butt in here so we can deliver the noodles already."

MK gets in the van and sits at the drivers seat.

"Remember to focus on the road. We don't wanna almost run over an old lady again now do we?"

"THAT WAS ONE TIME AND YOU KNOW IT!"

"One time too many."

"When will you ever let it go?!"

"Probably never."

MK pouts again before DJ ruffles his hair.

"HEY QUIT IT!"

DJ laughs.

"I'm sorry I can't help it. You're just too cute for words. You know that?"

MK swats her hand away.

"I'm not a kid anymore DJ."

"I know. But just remember, no matter what you're still gonna be my baby brother. Even if you're an old man who can barely walk, you're my baby bro till the end."

MK smiles.

"And I'm always gonna be your big sister that's gonna protect you till the end."

"Thanks sis."

"You're welcome. Now start up the van and let's get going!"

"Hear ya loud and clear!"

MK starts up the van and they leave to deliver the noodles. Little did they know that this was a start to something greater.
