"Can I ask you something?" Minji's voice broke the quiet, catching me off guard. I turned to her, her eyes searching mine as she inched closer.
"What is it?" I replied, a hint of nervousness creeping into my voice.
Her gaze softened, and she leaned in closer, her breath warm against my skin. "Can I kiss you?"
My heart skipped a beat, uncertainty clouding my thoughts. "Um, are you sure about this?"
She nodded, determination gleaming in her eyes. I hesitated for a moment, then nodded in agreement. "Just one," I managed to say, my voice barely above a whisper.
As her hands gently found their way to my neck, I couldn't help but feel a rush of anticipation. She leaned in closer, our lips just inches apart. But as she pulled me closer, I could feel the flutter of butterflies in my stomach. I held her waist with my left hand pulling her closer gently.
She slowly removed her hands from my neck, Minji smiled, her eyes sparkling with affection. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
"We should sleep now, Minji," I said, she then smiled and nodded her head, "Goodnight, Y/n,"
"Goodnight, Min,"
-
"Hurry up Y/n!" Minji's impatient voice echoed from the doorway, prompting me to hastily gather my things. I chuckled at her eagerness as I hurried to join her.
"Hey, hey, don't rush perfection," I teased, flashing her a grin as I double-checked my belongings.
She rolled her eyes, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. "Perfection, huh? We'll see about that."
I raised an eyebrow in amusement, waiting for her next move. "Oh, is that a challenge?"
"Maybe," she replied cryptically, her eyes glinting mischievously.
With a final glance around the room to ensure we hadn't forgotten anything, we bid goodbye to her mom and brother before heading out. Minji handed me her phone, a secretive smile dancing on her lips.
"Where are we going?" I asked, curiosity piqued as I glanced at the screen.
"You'll see," she replied with a mysterious wink, leaving me even more intrigued.
I held the door open for her, gesturing for her to go ahead before following her out to the car. As I settled into the driver's seat, I couldn't resist adding a playful touch.
"Alright, seatbelt ma'am," I said with mock formality, flashing her a grin.
After a short drive, we arrived at our destination. As we stepped out of the car, I took in our surroundings, realizing that Minji had planned a picnic.
"A picnic? This is so sweet, Min," I said, genuinely touched by her thoughtfulness.
She grinned at my reaction, clearly pleased with herself. "I thought it would be nice to spend some time outdoors, just the two of us."
I couldn't help but return her smile as we found a cozy spot to lay down the blanket. Minji had brought along a basket filled with all sorts of delicious treats, and my stomach rumbled in anticipation as she began unpacking our meal.
"Wow, you really went all out," I remarked, impressed by her effort.
"It's nothing," she replied modestly, though the sparkle in her eyes betrayed her pride.
We settled in, enjoying the food and each other's company as we chatted and laughed together. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and everything felt perfect in that moment.
