"The last will and testament of Charles Francis Xavier. As you all will see, his fortune, his school, everything he built, everything he fought for, now belongs to me, my X-Men." He announced, a grin covering his lips.
Anya's heart shattered. Everything. Her father didn't leave anything to her. No memories nor books, no photos or possessions. Nothing.
Was she just to accept that this was no longer the Xavier residence? Instead it was now the Lehnsherr residence with a lost Xavier stuck inside?

ANYA WAS BEYOND upset. I mean, can you blame her? Everything that the X-Men assumed belonged to her. Every inch of the house and the gardens to every letter on every book was no longer hers to hold or cherish, but instead it was Magneto's. The man her father always trusted, the one that Anya sometimes envied. That level of trust was unbeatable, even between herself and her father. But I suppose you're more likely to trust a man just like yourself. Teenagers are supposed to be tricky and misbehave, so she couldn't hold it against her father.Anya decided she was going to find her father if it was the last thing she did.
Knock.
"Who is it?" Anya called out, having laid a blanket on the floor to sit on.
"It's Jubilee, can I come in?" The perky mutant asked.
"Uh yeah, I suppose." The clairvoyant responded, standing up to open the door. "You okay Jubi?" Anya checked, worried her friend was upset or something. "Has curly fries come back and broken your heart already? I'll trap him in the astral plane if you want." The girl promised, before Jubilee lightly slapped her arm.
"Actually, I came to see if you were okay. And Roberto is not breaking my heart or coming back any time soon." Jubilee answered.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be okay?" Anya asked, puzzled. Sure, she wasn't okay, but how did Jubilee already detect it? She wasn't a telepath, was she?
"Well with Magneto showing up and now owning everything your father had, I figured you'd be upset. Just came to check in and make sure you weren't going insane over it, or trying to find your dad again- oh you were about to, I see. You should really set up your whole summoning-a-ghost thing differently. Looks like you're not about to summon a ghost, but rather, Satan." Jubilee monologued a bit, before shutting up.
"I'm fine. A little disappointed- well, very disappointed. But I can't say I'm surprised. My father truly admired Magneto." Anya answered, before Jubilee spontaneously hugged her tightly, stopping her from breathing.
"Jubilee that's too tight- can't breathe-" Anya tried to speak, but couldn't because Jubilee was hugging her as tight as humanly possible.
"As long as you're sure you're okay. Promise me you won't spend all night performing satanic rituals?" Jubilee asked, laughing a little at her own joke.
"They're not satanic rituals!" Anya protested, but Jubilee just laughed.
"You know where to find me if you need me, okay An?" Jubilee made sure Anya knew she could talk to her, before waving goodnight.
Anya flattened out the blanket, before grabbing a bottle of water from her bedside table and drinking a bit. She sat down and was about to look for her father when there was another knock on the door.
"Why am I so popular at like eleven o'clock at night, what's up now Jubi- oh- uh- Magneto, hi." Anya was surprised to see the mutant leader slash slight terrorist slash leader of the X-Men slash what the fuck??
"Anya. I thought I'd let you know that the will doesn't state that everything is mine. In fact, a large chunk of his fortune, as well as every book in this place and any of your mother's belongings are left to you." The man spoke, looking down at Anya.
"Oh... uh, thank you?" She wasn't sure how to respond.
"The will is in his office, if you wish to take a look. I hope you can see past my previous actions against your father and that we can work as X-Men together." He began, before taking a breath. "I'm sorry that you lost him, Anya. It's a great loss to us all, but most of all to you." The mutant finished, before walking away from her room.
What the hell? Magneto was nice to her?? Anya was so confused. She could swear that a year ago they were fighting like there was no tomorrow. Anyway, that's a thought for another day.
Folding the blanket up, Anya decided that tonight wasn't the best night to go father-searching-in-a-different-reality. She was a little too shaken and shocked to keep a proper focus, or at least she predicted as such.
And with that, the X-Men were onto a new chapter. One for better, or for worse? Well, nobody in the X-Men knew that.
