y/n stared at the ceiling as the doctors blabbed on and on, telling her she can be discharged today.
her mom held onto her hand as she nodded at the doctors words. "you should be able to take off your cast in a couple months, y/n." she said, taking a glance at her before going back to her clipboard, scribbling down some notes.
"well thats everything, i hope you make a great recovery y/n. the therapist you were seeing is open to do more sessions if your willing to continue." she smiled softly before leaving the room.
it was silent, it felt almost unbearable.
"so, the place were moving to is ready, all of our stuff is packed up." her mother spoke softly, breaking the silence "all you need to do is gather your personal belongings.." she trailed off, noticing her once sparking e/c eyes was now empty, you could see no life behind them.
"sounds great, mom" she rasped, feeling numb from everything.

y/n stood in front of her mirror, gazing at the outfit she chose, wondering if she should change or not.
she was gonna wear a dress, but when she put it on all she could think about was a distant memory, one that her mind tried to bury. any dress she wore she could feel somebody's hands all over her body, making her feel disgusted. she didn't know why her skin crawled just by glancing at a dress.
she shook the feeling off, going back to looking at her outfit. she wore a simple dark grey top, pairing it with a simple pair of jeans that were one size bigger than her usual size. it was simple, but she felt comfortable. (sorry guys, i'm terrible with clothing style 💔 ur gonna have to bear with me 🙏)
she put on a couple bracelets, a silver chain that was given to her from one of her family members. she looked in the mirror again, checking to see if her makeup was alright.
while making minor changes to herself, her phone buzzed. it was Ash. she answered and put it on speaker, touching up her hair as she spoke "hi Ash!"
"hi y/n!! are you almost ready for the party? Larry quit it" she could hear Larry giggling in the background as Ash lectured him.
she smiled softly "yea i am, i was just about to text your or Larry, did you guys get the booze?" she questioned as she looked around for a zip up hoodie to wear.
"surprisingly yes, Larrys fake id worked. but soon we won't be need a fake id." she could hear the smirk playing on Ash's lips, she chuckled "okay well, just text me when you guys are back and i'll head down" she said, spotting Sals zip up.
"okay! also, bring Sally with you, he's a slowpoke and i need you to drag him downstairs for me" Ash giggled as she hung up.
she sighed, putting on Sals hoodie as she left the room.
her living room was dark, light illuminated from the window. the sun was setting, basking in a golden glow in the dimly lit room.
all that could be heard was the soft creaks from her crutches hitting the ancient floor boards. she could see a note on the table, taking a glance at it, is said 'working late, will be home quite late.'
she shrugged, leaving to get her one shoe on. she pulled her phone out as she left the apartment, sending Sal a quick text. 'i'm in the hallway waiting for u'
she went towards the elevator, leaning against the wall as she waited for Sal to emerge from his apartment.
a few minutes passed by as she waited patiently for him, glancing around the hallways, noticing the small details.
