Ashlyn asked making sure it would work properly.
"Yeah!"
Everyone filed into the car, Ashlyn hesitantly going to the driver's seat but second guessing herself.
"Want me to drive?"
Aiden's head poked through the open window of the door.
"Didn't you say you've only driven go-karts?"
"Yeah, but it's basically the same thing, right?"
Boy were we wrong, Aiden's driving abilities were worse than his DDR abilities. Every time he turned he would swerve sending everyone tumbling, poor Logan in the trunk was holding on for dear life while me, Taylor and Ben tried to stitch up Tyler.
His head rested on his sister's lap while my hand held up his shirt for Ben to do the rest, it was the most I could do with my body stung every time someone touched it. Ben said he would handle it once we got into a safer spot.
We arrived to the school, Aiden slamming on the breaks when he reached a parking spot which sent everyone forward.
"We're here!"
He cheered putting the car into break.
"How's he doing?"
Ashlyn's head turned around to look at us, checking in on Tyler's condition.
"We stitched up what we could and wrapped the rest, but so much was torn and broken...he keeps soaking through all the bandages and cloth..."
Taylor trialed off, on hand holding over his wound while the other held his head back, rubbing it gently.
"Turn the truck off, it's near by! Don't shut the doors when we get it. It might hear them slam."
Ashlyn used her hearing abilities to sense the giant phantom, Aiden's hand turning the car off and taking out the key.
Everyone got out the car, Ben placing Tyler onto his back again, carefully moving so it wouldn't disturb the wound. We walked through the halls trying to find the coaches office, we planned on getting the keys to turn the generator on for the football field lights.
"How much further?"
Ashlyn asked growing impatient from the long walk.
"Down the hall and a couple more classrooms down."
We continued our walk following Taylor's direction, but the hallway suddenly turned darker, everyone's head turned to the window to see the giant phantom staring right at us.
"Run!"
I quickly yelled, everyone sprinted out of the way as the phantom crashed down into the building. We continued to run but we weren't fast enough, I quickly snatched Logan's gun out of his hand and shot it in its eye.
It let out a screech of pain stopping in its tracks,
"It's left eye is out!"
I yelled back to the group watching it squirm around from the shock. Taylor snatched the gun from Ashlyn's back and shot the phantom again.
