However, the malice, whether it was sentient or not, in tendril form coiled itself around my waist and pulled me into the mirror. Naturally I held my arms out to brace myself when I fell into the surface.
My entire body went cold as the malice's entity left the mirror and began climbing up my arms as soon as my fingers made contact.
I couldn't move. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't even yell.

"Did you ever really love me?"
"You need not come any close." The Prohphet of Doom hissed.
My breath got caught in my throat at his icy cold demeanor. I quickly see two Yiga Clan soldiers stop in their places. I didn't know how I didn't notice them at first.
"And what of the girl?" The more muscular one of them asked.
He must have been a blademaster due to his immense size. His eyes flitted from Astor's circlet on his head resembling a Malice eye to the Malice-infected crystal orb in his hand.
Astor took his time before answering as he strode closer.
He punctuated each step making it echo in the room. I felt like I was watching some over the top dramatics. The tension was palpable.
Not soon enough, he stood in front of me who was sat against the cold stone wall with ropes binding me.
"Measures are being taken. Soon you will each have your own parts to play."
"But Sorcerer-"
"Enough! It seems that, as low as my expectations of you were, I was overly optimistic. How hard is it to follow a simple order and capture a simple girl?! No matter, she is now ours thanks to MY efforts. Now leave."
I wanted to shrink against the wall as the entire dwelling echoed Astor's screams and anger at the two Yiga Clan members. His eyes even turned a deep maroon color almost like the malice in him had corrupted his soul.
The two left in humiliation.
"You didn't answer my question." I mumbled after a while of silence.
"I don't make a habit to answer worthless drivel."
I slumped against the wall knowing that that was the only answer I ever needed. It was the answer I was so afraid of hearing.
I thought over the months and months I had spent with the evil seer back when I thought he was the love of my life.
Had all of it been a lie? Was I just a pawn to him?
Where all those times he told me that he loved me all for show? Was I a consolation prize? Were all those forehead kisses just an act?
"Then what are you waiting for then? Just sacrifice my body to Calamity Ganon and you'll never have to see me ever again." I said bitterly as tears started to cloud my judgement.
Astor's face dropped for a fleeting second before he recovered and acted like he never faltered. He got on his knees and held my jaw, so I was forced to look into his intense eyes.
"Oh how I love seeing the utter defeat in your eyes."
Tears began running down my face as he used his other hand to wipe them away. It was sickening that he was touching me now. He dared to try to "console" me as he called it.
"Was I just a pawn to you?"
"You, my dear, will be the crown jewel of Calamity Ganon."
"You're sick and twisted!" I snarl trying to wretch my face from his jaw but failing. "I thought that night meant something to you!"
"Oh, it meant a great deal to me. But Calamity Ganon will reward me tenfold for reviving him through his ancient enemies' little sister."
That night flashed through my mind.
I could see it all. I feel it all. His hands in my hair, hot breath on my neck, his legs intertwined with mine, my bed sheets smelling like him for days, and I could still hear his name on my tongue.
How could he take my virginity when he had no real intentions of staying?
How could he use me?
"Did you know I loved you?"
"I loved you too." He answered not meeting my eyes.

I awoke with a deep inhale like I had been drowning the entire time.
It took me a while as I lied in the shallow water staring up at the clear blue sky. Shards of the mirror were scattered all around me and any signs of malice were long gone like a distant memory.
The frame of the mirror itself was snapped in half like a twig.
It felt like it was forever before my heart started to beat normally.
Horror had its hooks dug into my skin. I hated experiencing the feeling of betrayal that that version of me did. However, what that "Astor" did was lifetimes from coming to fruition.
It was through that mirror that I realized I had recovered the curse that Soleil had to bare her entire existence. The curse of foresight.
Not only was I able to peer into the damned future, but Astor was Ghirahim. Ghirahim and I would really follow one another into each life whether we wanted to or not.
